Publication Diversifying Quranic Revision Methods Using Gamification-based Teaching Material For Tahfiz Education(Institute of Advanced Engineering and Science (IAE, 2024) ;Abd Muhaimin Ahmad ;Azman Ab. Rahman ;Muhammad Hafiz SalehZainora DaudThis study discusses the development procedure of the global tahfiz game (GTG) as a teaching aid for the Quranic revision subject for tahfiz students based on the gamification concept. Comprehensive design and development research (DDR) was used as the research method. The analysis includes conceptual and material development, expert evaluation, testing, and the final product. The development of concepts and materials used in this gamification was based on the theoretical framework of mechanics, dynamics, and aesthetics (MDA), with the application of tahfiz education elements. To examine the ability of GTG prototype to tackle the users’ needs, we have conducted the usability analysis. The expert teacher's mean score for the trial run on this gamification was high at 4.85. The trial run score for student participants was also high (4.45). The result demonstrated that most of the constructs are perceived at a high level by respondents. Thus, this indicated the high usability of GTG to be used as a teaching aid for a Quranic revision subject. The gamification of Quranic tahfiz based on board games has been finalized through recommendations and improvements based on the evaluation. The study findings are expected to be useful for educational institutions or researchers in developing teaching materials using the MDA framework for gamification, particularly in the field of Islamic education. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Fenomena Tahfiz di Malysia: Keperluan Institut Perguruan Tahfiz Malaysia bagi Lepasan Aliran Tahfiz(UNISZA, 2020) ;Norazman Alias ;Muhammad Hafiz Saleh ;Abd Muhaimin Ahmad ;Muhammad Arif Musa ;Hayati HussinZainora DaudIt is well known that the Quranic sanad is one of the three main conditions in accepting the authentic of Quranic recitations (also known as qiraat). In the beginning, the Quranic sanad was recorded on a piece of paper as an important document confirming that one had finished reading the Quran in front of the teacher and had completed all knowledge related to qiraat. The writings relating toQuranic sanad have evolved with the birth of Quranic figures such as Al-Zahabi (d. 748H) who produced the work of Ma'rifah al-Qurra’ al-Kibar, Ibn al-Jazari (d. 833H) through the work of Ghayah al-Nihayah fi Tabaqat al-Qurra’ and al-Nasyr fi al-Qiraat al-Asyr and more. The objective of this study is to study the methodology in the writing of former scholars in works related to the Quranic sanad. In addition, the study also focuses on the writings of contemporary scholars in this field such as the book of Ithaf al-Zaman bi Asanid Ahl al-Quran by Dr. Ilyas al-Barmawi and the book of al-Salasil al-Zahabiyyah bi al-Asanid al-Nasyriyyah by Dr. Aiman Rusydi Suwaid who reviews the Quranic sanad in a structured and critical manner. This study will be conducted through descriptive qualitative methods with particular focus on selected Quranic sanad books. The deductive method in the study will be used to maximize the expected results. The study found that writing in this field has been given priority by previous scholars by using of the Qurra’ biography method, their teachers and students. The contemporary scholars, however, emphasized the existence of high-level sanad to the Messenger of Allah and also discussed current issues related to sanad. Di antara cabaran terbesar yang dihadapi oleh penghafaz al-Quran adalah mengingati ayat–ayat mutashabih lafaz, iaitu ayat-ayat al-Quran yang sama atau hampir sama dari sudut lafaznya. Kesukaran dalam menghafaz dan mengingati ayat-ayat mutashabih lafaz ini menuntut kepada kaedah pengajaran dan pembelajaran khusus sama ada dari pihak institusi tahfiz, guru dan juga pelajar. Justeru, objektif kajian adalah untuk mengenal pasti kaedah hafazan di kalangan pelajar tahfiz al-Quran terhadap ayat mutashabih lafaz, dengan menjadikan Darul Quran Jakim dan Jabatan al-Quran dan al-Qiraat KUIS sebagai lokasi kajian. Kajian ini dibina berdasarkan metodologi kualitatif yang menggunakan kaedah temubual separa berstruktur sebagai instumen kajian. 30 orang pelajar tahfiz institusi tersebut dipilih sebagai peserta kajian. Publication Methods of Memorizing Mutashabihat Verses: Study on Darul Quran, JAKIM and Department of al-Quran and al-Qiraat KUIS(Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin, 2021) ;Abd Muhaimin Ahmad ;Muhammad Hafiz Saleh ;Muhammad Arif Musa ;Norazman AliasKhairul Anuar MuhammadThere are challenges in memorizing the Quran and therefore it requires an effective and systematic method to facilitate students to memorize as well to retain the Quran. Among the biggest challenge faced by a student is to remember the mutashabihat verses which appear to be like one another. The difficulty in memorizing and remembering the mutashabih lafaz verses requires specific teaching and learning methods from the institutions of tahfiz, teachers and students. However, how far this matter is addressed seriously at the institutional of tahfiz is still questionable. Therefore, the objective of the study is to identify the methods of memorization among students tahfiz on the mutashabih lafaz verse, by making Darul Quran Jakim and Department of al-Quran and al-Qiraat, KUIS as research locations. This study was developed based on qualitative method using semi structured interviews as research instrument. 30 tahfiz students from both institutions were selected as participants. The study found that the most frequently methods used were; 1. Identifying the mutashabihat verses and making relevant notes during the memorization and revision sessions, 2. Referring to Quranic exegesis or translation to understand the meaning of the verses, 3. Repeating as much as possible with a focus on the mutashabihat verses. The study also found that no specific reference or book was used in both institutions to overcome the difficulty of memorizing the mutashabihat verses. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Pembangunan Bahan Bantu Mengajar Berasaskan Gamifikasi bagi Pendidikan Tahfiz dalam Mempelbagaikan Metodologi Pengulangan Al-Quran(Penerbit USIM, 2022) ;Abd Muhaimin Ahmad ;Azman Ab Rahman ;Muhammad Hafiz SalehZainora DaudKajian ini membincangkan prosedur pembangunan Global Tahfiz Game (GTG) sebagai bahan bantu mengajar (BBM) untuk subjek mengulangkaji hafazan al-Quran bagi pelajar aliran tahfiz berasaskan konsep gamifikasi. Metode kajian yang digunakan adalah komprehensif design and develope research (DDR). Analisis yang dilakukan meliputi aspek pembangunan konsep dan material, penilaian pakar, ujilari dan produk akhir. Pembangunan konsep dan material yang digunakan dalam gamifikasi ini adalah bersandarkan kepada kerangka teori mekanik, dinamik dan estetika (MDA) dengan penerapan elemen-elemen pengajian tahfiz di dalamnya. Skor guru pakar berdasarkan min bagi ujilari yang dijalankan terhadap gamifikasi ini adalah tinggi iaitu (4.85). Manakala skor ujilari yang dilakukan pada peserta di kalangan pelajar di beberapa sekolah tahfiz juga tinggi iaitu (4.45). Hasil daripada saranan dan penambahbaikan penilaian tersebut, maka dihasilkan produk akhir gamifikasi tahfiz al- Quran berasaskan permainan papan, ia telah merangkul medal emas dalam beberapa pertandingan inovasi. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

The difficulty in memorizing and remembering the mutashabih lafaz verses requires specific teaching and learning methods from the institutions of tahfiz, teachers and students. Therefore, the objective of the study is to identify the accentuation and implementation of teaching mutashabih lafaz verse in tahfiz institutions and their lecturers, by making Darul Quran Jakim and Department of al-Quran and al-Qiraat, KUIS as research locations. This study was developed based on qualitative method using semi structured interviews as research instrument. Two experienced tahfiz teachers from each institution were selected as participants. The study found that there is no reference book nor specific teaching method been used officially in teaching mutashabih lafaz verses, even though the quality of memorization of these verses among students is weak. Publication Peranan Hadith dalam Ilmu Taujih Qiraat: Analisis Terhadap Kitab Hujjah al-Qiraat Karangan Ibn Zanjalah(USIM Press, 2020-12) ;Abd Muhaimin Ahmad ;Muhammad Hafiz SalehZulhilmi Mohamed NorTaujih qiraat is a knowledge that discusses the meaning and justification in the Qur'anic variant reading (qiraat). Scholars of this field often refer to fundamental aspects in Arabic language such as grammar, phonology, morphology and semantic aspects in explaining the meaning and justification of the variation in Qur`anic reading. However, in certain circumstances some scholars also refer to hadith as a source in their explanation and description. Thus, this study discusses the role of hadith of the Prophet SAW in this field of knowledge, by making the book of Hujjah al-Qiraat written by Ibn Zanjalah as a study material. The study was conducted using content analysis methods, by performing an observation on the hadiths used in the Hujjah al-Qiraat, which were then analyzed descriptively to identify the role of these hadith in explaining the meaning and justification of the variation in Qur`anic reading. Among the important findings of this study is; the role of hadith in this knowledge is seen from three aspects, namely it describes the meaning of a qiraat, strengthens the existence of a qiraat directly and also strengthens the existence of a qiraat indirectly. The study also found that the role of hadith is relatively small, compared to the number of Qur`anic words that recited with various readings, and some of the hadiths were not found in the major hadith books, but most of these hadiths are supported with other hadiths as a syawahid (auxiliary). - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

The difficulty in memorising and remembering the mutashabihat verses require specific teaching and learning methods from the tahfiz institutions, teachers and students. However, to what extent this matter is addressed seriously at tahfiz institutions still remains a question. Therefore, the objective of the study is to identify the issues and problems in teaching and memorising the mutashabihat verses among tahfiz lecturers and students. The study selected Darul Quran Jakim and Department of al-Quran and al-Qiraat, Kolej Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Selangor as the research locations. This study was developed based on the qualitative method using semi-structured interviews as the research instrument. Four experienced tahfiz lecturers and 30 tahfiz students from both institutions were selected as participants. Among the issues and problems that has been found regarding to the mutashabihat verses are: 1) no specific reference book to assist students to identify mutashabihat verses, 2) lack of focus given on the verses during tasmi’ sessions. Salah satu cara penerangan al-Quran adalah melalui perumpamaan ataupun ayat amthāl. Ayat amthālberfungsi untuk mendekatkan kefahaman al-Quran kepada pendengarnya. Perumpamaan ini juga memberi kesan yang lebih mendalam kepada pembacanya jika mereka mentaddabbur ayat-ayat tersebut. Ulama Islam telah mengkaji ayat-ayat amthalini dan menghasilkan penulisan yang banyak. Ini menunjukkan betapa pentingnya ayat-ayat ini dalam memahami isi kandungan al-Quran. Terjemahan al-Quran berbahasa Melayu telah bermula sejak abad ke-17. Terjemahan al-Quran memerlukan kepada penterjemah untuk menguasai ilmu-ilmu tafsir al-Quran termasuk amthāl al-QurÉn. Tujuan kajian adalah untuk menganalisis terjemahan ayat amthālberbahasa Melayu. Kajian ini merujuk kepada Tafsir Pimpinan ar-Rahman karangan Sheikh Abdullah Basmeih. Kajian dijalankan menerusi perbandingan antara terjemahan tafsir tersebut dengan kefahaman ayat amthālmenurut Abd al-Nāṣir al-Sa’di menerusi kitabnya Taisīr al-Karīm al-Rahmān. Kajian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif berkonsep deskriptif dan analisis. Kajian mendapati terdapat dua kategori ayat amthal; 1-ayat yang mudah difahami dan diterjemah, 2-ayat yang memerlukan kepada tafsiran yang lebih terperinci. Tafsiran Syeikh Abdullah Basmeih pada kategori yang pertama memberikan pemahaman yang jelas, namun pada kategori yang kedua kurang memberikan pemahaman terhadap perbandingan yang dibuat. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Its main discussion is about the beginning and ending of the verse of the Quran as well as distinction numbering of the verses. There are seven famous opinions in `adad, namely; Madani Awwal, Madani Akhir, Makki, Kufi, Basri, Shami and Himshi. The difference of opinions in the determination of Quranic verses does not only affect the calculation of the total number of verses in the Qur'an, but also contribute to the differences in the nature of mushaf (printed Quran). This is because the scholars have variant views on determining the madhdhab (opinion) of ‘adad relied upon by some qiraat mutawatirah and its riwayah. Thus, this study explores and gathers the views of the scholars in determining the madhdhab (opinion) for respective qiraat mutawatirah, and identify their justifications. This study will then examine the effect of the dispute on mushaf Quran. To achieve the aforementioned objectives, content analysis method was adopted to bring together the views of scholars in determining opinions for each qiraat mutawatirah, and to analyze descriptively the narrations of all opinions to explain the cause of the disagreement among the scholars. In order to know the impact of the differences in `adad on mushaf Quran, induction methods was used on the mushaf Quran which has been printed in several countries with distinctive qiraat mutawatirah. This study finds that the sanad (chain of transmitter) in narrating `adad forms is the contributing factor in dissenting scholars in determining credible opinion for each qiraat mutawatirah. In regards to the printing of mushaf, most of the printed mushafs are aligned with the opinion of scholars in determining the number of the verses, whereas only a few of mushaf which do not comply with such opinion. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication مصطلاحات الوقف عند السجاوندي وموازنتها عند رأي الجمهور(Research Centre for al-Quran and al-Sunnah, Faculty of Islamic Studies, 2016) ;Abd Muhaimin Ahmad ;Sabri MohammadHaziyah HussinThe knowledge of waqf and ibtida’ has received a great attention from scholars of Islam where they had produced various book and methodologies of writing in this field of study since then until now. Ilal al Wuquf written by al Sajawindi was among the books that discussed in details on the principles and laws of waqf and ibtida’ focusing on verses and words in Quran. This book has its own uniqueness compared to other books, as the authors use different division of waqf that is proposed by the majority of scholars, namely; al Tam, al Kafi, al Hasan and al Qabih. In his book, al Sawajindi divided waqf into six types, namely; al Lazim, al Mutlaq,al Jaiz, al Mujawwaz li Wajh, al Murakkhas li Dharurah, and Ma La Yajuz al Waqf ‘Alaih. The difference of these terminologies in waqf and ibtida’ has led to doubt among readers, which led to a misunderstanding of the law of waqf in reading the Quran. Thus, this study describes these terminologies that has been used by al Sajawindi descriptively, and study inductively examples of each division of the waqf, for the purposes of making comparisons and its equality to the division of waqf that is proposed by the majority of Muslim scholars. The study found that most waqf terminologies used by al Sajawindi are overlap with other divisions of waqf proposed by the majority of Muslim scholars, based on the difference in 'i'rab (arabic grammar), verse structure and meaning of the verse. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

What is the style of the Qur’an and Sunnahwhile mentioning errors from the two parties, the infidels and those who have faith? Didboth used the same style or eachhas its own unique style?Researchers have concluded afterfollowingalmost allverses and manyAhadith,thatthere is a different between the style of the Qur’an and the Sunnah. The Qur’an,in dealing with both believers and none believers,did not mention names of thosewhocommittederrors but gave hints,except for eight persons with reasons mentioned by the researchers. The Sunnah dealtalmost with believers only but categorisethem into senior companions, new believers and Bedouins, while being softwith the new believers and the Bedouins, the Prophetwas strictwith seniors when they commitan error. The researchers suggest that Muslimpreachers should follow the method of theQur’anand Sunnah in correcting theerrors of believersof all categories.
