Publication The challenges in the usage of e-journal amongst lecturers at a public university(Elsevier Science Bv, 2013) ;Mohamed Ariffin, MYAbu Bakar, AThis study was carried out to assess the usage of c-journals amongst education lecturers at a public university in Malaysia. A total of 55 education lecturers participated in the study by completing a self-developed questionnaire to answer the following questions: (1) What are the challenges or constraints that they faced in using e-journals? and (2) What are their suggestions which would improve the use of e-joumals for academic purposes? The major findings revealed a "neutral" perception amongst the education lecturers on the challenges that they fined in using e-joumals; although they were challenges none were too detrimental towards the usage of e-joumals. The education lecturers also responded by giving 5 aptly suggestions on how to improve the usage of e-journals; by providing inure training for lecturers, provide training for students, providing better Internet facilities, encouraging more sharing of information on e-journals, as well as encouraging the use of e-journals in teaching and learning. Publication Spatial Signature Method (SSM) Against XML Signature Wrapping Attacks(E D P Sciences, 2019) ;Saudi, MM ;Zaizi, NJM ;Sweese, KJAAbu Bakar, ALiving in cyber world with revolutionizes of Industrial 4.0, most of the users and organisations prefer to sell and buy products or services via website online transaction. This online transaction is done through a messaging protocol (SOAP) and signing entire SOAP (SESOAP) using Extensible Markup Language (XML). XML is implemented to secure the SOAP contents by applying the signing method called as XML Digital signature. However, the XML digital signature has issues related to XML signature wrapping (XSW) attacks specifically on Sibling Value Context and Sibling Order Context attacks. Therefore, this paper proposes an enhanced method called as Spatial Signature Method (SSM) which aims to resolve the limitation of SESOAP from the aspect of XSW attacks. It proposes new parameters for XML digital signature inspired by the concept of ratio and space in biotechnology to detect the XSW attacks. The experiment was conducted in a controlled lab by using the Ubuntu Linux system and PHP programming. Based on the comparison made with SESOAP and ID Referencing method (IDR), SSM has proven to defend against the XSW attacks. For the future work, the spatial signature method can be forged with more extensive spatial information for the digital signature and to integrate it with web services.
