The Day of Resurrection is one of the main issues discussed in the Qur'an. The article aims to give a clear picture to humans about the day of Resurrection by manifest imagery in the visible world. To achive this goal, this study analyzes some of the beauty of the Quranic style of language in discussing the issue of the Day of Resurrection, and the description of its dread and the chaos through the simile. This article uses qualitative methods through the analysis of the selected verses from parts in Juzuk Amma as an example as well as the opinion of the shcolars through selected exegexis books. The study found that various types of linguistic style and simile have been used by the Qur'an to illustrate the style of the Day of Resurrection such as the complete destruction of the universe with the use of tashbih mujmal, tashbih baligh and so on. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

RahmanAhmad Fazullah Mohd Zainal AbidinThis study aims to identify key factors that affect the psychological preference towards Arabic language learning among students in Higher Education Institutions (HEI). Learning Arabic in HEI is a continuation of learning Arabic language in lower secondary, upper secondary and tertiary level-matriculation. Research problem was derived from the issue of Arabic language proficiency and achievement among university students which showed less favorable results despite sufficient exposure and learning facilities provided by the institutions. This study employed survey research design that involved a participant of 100 first year students from two respective faculties in USIM where Arabic is a requirement and pre-requisite for their studies. In addition, most of the students had been exposed to this language acquisition process during their school years. Findings indicate that the factors such as students 'background, interests, motivation, environment and educational technology play such important roles in determining the success of learning a language. However, in order to obtain more comprehensive results, further research needs to be done which includes other variables, constructs and samples from each faculty, institutions, year of study and etc. This study contributes to the understanding of psychological preference towards Arabic language learning in the context of higher education. Several strategies and approaches of teaching and learning have been proposed to enhance the skills and language proficiency among students. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Perspektif Psikologi dan Retorik Al-Quran terhadap Aspek Emosi dan Kesopanan Komunikasi dalam Al-Quran(USIM Press, 2021) ;Ahmad Fazullah Mohd Zainal AbidinWan Azura Wan AhmadAspek emosi dan hubungannya dengan ciri-ciri komunikasi yang sejahtera merupakan perkara penting dalam interaksi manusia. Kajian berkaitan kedua-dua bidang tersebut banyak dibincangkan dalam disiplin ilmu masing-masing. Namun, fokus perbincangan makalah ini merujuk kepada hubungan emosi dengan kesopanan komunikasi khusus dalam konteks ilmu psikologi dan retorik al-Quran. Justeru, makalah ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji perspektif psikologi dan retorik al-Quran terhadap aspek emosi dan kesopanan komunikasi dalam al-Quran. Kajian kualitatif ini cuba menjelaskan beberapa ayat-ayat Al-Quran bertemakan emosi dan kesopanan komunikasi dengan fokus ulasan daripada sudut psikologi dan retorik al-Quran. Dapatan menunjukkan bahawa tema emosi dan kesopanan komunikasi dalam al-Quran mengandungi prinsip psikologi dan retorik al-Quran (seperti kosa kata, struktur ayat dan makna). Pertama, ayat al-Quran bertemakan emosi dan kesopanan komunikasi memaparkan keterikatan emosi yang memberi impak emosi terhadap jiwa manusia. Kedua, ayat-ayat kesopanan komunikasi mengandungi unsur retorik al-Ma’ani yang menggalakkan komunikasi harmoni dan sejahtera. Satu kerangka konsepsual komunikasi berasaskan prinsip kesopanan dan emosi dibentuk bagi menggambarkan konsep ini. Kajian ini merupakan salah satu bidang penyelidikan yang menggabungjalinkan pelbagai bidang iaitu bidang psikologi dan retorik bahasa Arab (dalam konteks al-Quran) dalam menjelaskan tema-tema kemanusiaan dalam al-Quran sebagai panduan kepada manusia sejagat.
