This issue has especially impacted consumer trust, particularly among Malaysia's Muslim community, magnified by the disreputable meat cartel scandal. Safeguarding Muslim consumers' confidence in halal meat products is a significant challenge, necessitating severe measures in all aspects, including halal certification procedures. This study investigates the specific degrees of halal certification practices within the meat industry, emphasizing their pivotal role in upholding industry integrity. Employing comprehensive library research and document analysis, encompassing primary and secondary sources such as articles, journals, official portals, and conference papers, detailed insights were extracted and thematically analyzed. The research reveals how important of halal certificates towards customers to ensure the halal status of meat products in the market, aligning with Shariah requirements. The study's findings are poised to enrich current knowledge about halal certification in the meat industry, offering valuable insights for industry stakeholders, consumers, and governmental bodies. Ultimately, this study provides a robust foundation, serving as an invaluable reference point for industry players, regulatory authorities, and other relevant agencies, offering a comprehensive framework to underscore halal certification in Malaysia's meat-based industry. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

It poses a huge challenge protect its Muslim consumers assurance on halal meat-based products includes all elements and processes along include halal certification procedure and practice. The purpose of this study to discuss on halal certificate implementation mainly focus on meat-based products in Malaysia. The data and information for this study were collected using qualitative methods with descriptive analysis using inductive strategies to track and collect scientific material. The study's findings are expected to add current knowledge and understanding on implementation on halal certification in Malaysia and it will be benefiting halal industry players, customers and government. In conclusion, this study can be a new platform and source of reference, especially for industry, authorities, and other agency bodies to provide detailed information and framework to highlight on halal certificate in meat-based industry in Malaysia. In fact, halal certification is one of the prerequisites for entering the global halal market because it able to provide recognition of quality and safe product through the concept of halalan toyyiban for the entire meta-based supply chain, from farm to fork. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Halal is an essential part of the Muslim faith. Since the early 2000s, Malaysia has established its procedures and standards to protect consumer interest through Halal certification. Protecting its Muslim consumers' assurance that Halal meat-based products include all elements, processes and Halal certification procedures and practices poses a huge challenge. Therefore, this study discusses the nature practice of Halal certification and its importance in Malaysia's meat-based industry. Library research and document analysis were employed to incorporate detailed ideas by referring to primary and secondary sources such as article journals, official portals, and conference papers. The extracted data were analysed thematically based on the practice, importance, and agencies involved in Halal certification. This study reveals that JAKIM is the key agency in the Halal certification system, attending to the current practice and issues of the Halal certification system in Malaysia. Recommendations based on the research findings suggest that the Malaysian government and JAKIM need to strengthen Halal certification processes and monitoring methods, while the industries must fulfil all requirements that the government has set and provide lawful food for consumers.
