Publication Development of Career Interest and Multiple Intelligence Module for Muslim Gifted and Talented Students(Penerbit USIM, 2020) ;Amirah Zainun ;Rezki Perdani SawaiAmnah Zanariah Abd RazakGifted and Talented Student (GTS) refers to student with diverse potential and vary in term of their nature and abilities. Despite of privileges having multiple abilities, GTS often faces challenges in identifying and pursuing a career path that aligns with their diverse interests and abilities which referred to as multipotentiality. Various related studies have been conducted by previous researchers, both quantitatively and qualitatively, but less reference has been made to intervention studies on module development. Hence, this research is attended to develop a module in assisting GTS with their career decision. The basic foundation in developing this module are based on two theories namely Holland RIASEC Theory (1997) and Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligence (1999). The sample of this study consist of GTS from one of the Gifted High School in Negeri Sembilan. This study will adopt the design and development research (DDR) and guided by the ADDIE model. Phases in ADDIE Model involved in this research are need analysis, design phase, development phase, implementation phase and evaluation phase. This module will be conducted by falitators in assisting students in making career decisions. It is hoped that this study will provide guidance in supporting career aspirations among GTS and help expanding students’ potential. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Most preceding researches have concentrated more on analyzing students’ cognitive, but the issue of students’ socio-emotional well-being is often overlooked. Based on the conclusions of the needs analysis conducted among students and teachers, the principal issue among these students is the issue of social anxiety. This social anxiety issue will hinder students’ true potential if one does not address it promptly. The issue of social anxiety occurs due to students’ thinking fallacies, social avoidance and stress in themselves and the atmosphere. Hence, to help identify the socio-emotional problems of social anxiety among these gifted and talented students, the researchers proposed the development of the Qalbun Salim Module with the integration of Islamic counselling (Al-Ghazali Psycho-Spiritual Counseling Theory) and western counselling theory (Cognitive Behavioral Theory). This module would be developed through five phases of design and development (Design development research-DDR) using the ADDIE model approach, namely needs analysis, design and development and implementation and evaluation of the module. The development of this module is also a discovery in today’s gifted and talented education. Publication The Impact of Online Learning on Students’ Stress During Pandemic Covid-19 in Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia(Penerbit USIM, 2023) ;Jaafar Mahmud ;Rezki Perdani Sawai ;Joki Perdani Sawai ;Abdul Rashid Abdul Aziz ;Anita IsmailAmnah Zanariah Abd RazakAlthough the COVID-19 pandemic which strikes Malaysia has now entered the endemic phase, the implications from it remain especially in mental health aspects. Students are a group that is at risk of experiencing stress due to the changes that occurred in the educational system. Therefore, this study was conducted to investigate the impact of online learning on students’ stress during pandemic COVID-19 in Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia. The total number of respondents involved was 360 students. The Student Stress Inventory (SSI) has been used to identify the level of student’s stress among undergraduate students. Descriptive statistical analysis in the form of percentage frequency, Pearson correlation and t-test were conducted using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) Version 26 software. Analysis showed that majority of the student had moderate stress score of student stress as the results of online learning. Independent t-test was used to identify the gender differences in terms of stress as a result of online learning. This study shows there was significant difference between males and females in aspect stress. Besides that, the study was concluded that there was significant impact and small effect on students’ academic achievement before and during Movement Control Order. Publication Intervensi Terapi Bermain Terhadap Isu Sosial Dan Emosi Pelajar Pintar BerbakatThe clients in this study were a group of smart and talented students (GTS) who experienced social and emotional problems. The social and emotional issues of these students are stem from the psychological and physiological factors of themselves such as asynchronous development, perfectionistic attitudes and had high expectations from society. In addition, GTS also has special characteristics such as having a high level of cognitive ability, creativity, and high imagination. Such characteristics have indirectly weakened their ability to make decisions as well as resilience. Therefore, a group of GTS were given an intervention using Cognitive Behavioral Play Therapy Module (CBPT Module) which has elements that suit their unique characteristics. After the intervention was conducted for 6 sessions, these students were able to improve decision-making ability as well as resilience. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Kecenderungan Pemilihan Kerjaya dalam Kalangan Pelajar Pintar dan Berbakat Muslim di Negeri Sembilan(Kolej PERMATA Insan, 2023-12-23) ;Nurin Kausar binti Abdul Rahman ;Nur Aizatul Aisyah binti M Azwi ;Amnah Zanariah Abd RazakAiman Fadhilah binti Ahmad RozleyPendedahan kepada pelajar pintar dan berbakat dalam pemilihan kerjaya pelajar amat diperlukan agar pelajar dapat mengenal pasti kekuatan diri yang akan dijadikan panduan bagi pemilihan kerjaya masa depan pelajar. Kajian ini merupakan kajian kuantitatif berbentuk kajian tinjauan menggunakan instrumen Inventori Minat Kerjaya (IMK) oleh KPM 2012. Sampel kajian ini adalah seramai 50 orang pelajar tingkatan 5 di salah sebuah sekolah pintar dan berbakat Muslim di Negeri Sembilan. Inventori IMK ini dianalisis menggunakan analisis perisian Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) versi 23. Analisis inferensi dilakukan bagi mengukur perbezaan pembolehubah minat kerjaya antara jantina. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan antara elemen yang tertinggi bagi pelajar lelaki ialah Investigatif (I), Artistik (A) dan Sosial (S), manakala bagi pelajar perempuan pula elemen tertinggi ialah Realistik (R), Sosial (S), Enterprising (E) serta Investigatif (I). Ini menunjukkan minat kecenderungan pelajar lelaki berbeza dari minat kecenderungan pelajar perempuan, namun terdapat sedikit persamaan dalam kecenderungan Sosial (S). Kesimpulannya, kajian ini menunjukkan bahawa pemilihan kerjaya adalah suatu proses yang kompleks bagi pelajar pintar berbakat yang mempunyai pelbagai potensi dalam diri setiap individu namun pelajar perlu membuat keputusan serta persediaan sebelum memasuki dunia pekerjaan yang sebenar. Implikasi kajian ini dapat memberikan pendedahan awal kepada pelajar sekolah menengah dalam kecenderungan pemilihan kerjaya bagi masa hadapan pelajar. Dapatan ini juga berguna bagi ibu bapa serta unit psikologi dan kaunseling sekolah dalam memahami kecenderungan pemilihan kerjaya pelajar ini. Kebanyakan kajian lepas lebih memfokuskan kepada kajian tentang kognitif pelajar namun sebenarnya isu kesejahteraan sosioemosi pelajar sering diabaikan. Berdasarkan dapatan analisis keperluan yang dilaksanakan dalam kalangan pelajar dan guru, di dapati isu utama yang berlaku dalam kalangan pelajar ini adalah isu kebimbangan sosial. Isu kebimbangan sosial ini akan merencatkan potensi sebenar pelajar jika tidak ditangani segera. Isu kebimbangan sosial ni berlaku kerana kesilapan berfikir pelajar, penghindaran sosial dan tekanan (stres) dalam diri serta persekitaran. Oleh itu bagi membantu mengenali masalah sosioemosi kebimbangan sosial dalam kalangan pelajar pintar dan berbakat ini, pengkaji mencadangkan agar Modul Qalbun Salim dibangunkan dengan integrasi kaunseling Islam (Teori Kaunseling Psiko-Spiritual Al-Ghazali) serta teori kaunseling barat (Teori Kognitif Tingkah laku). Modul ini akan dibangunkan dengan melalui lima fasa reka bentuk dan pembangunan (Design development research-DDR) menggunakan pendekatan model ADDIE iaitu analisis keperluan, reka bentuk dan pembangunan dan perlaksanaan dan penilaian modul. Pembangunan modul ini juga merupakan inovasi dalam pengajaran pintar dan berbakat masa kini. Publication Overexcitability: Uniqueness Development of Gifted and Talented Muslim Students(Kolej Genius Insan, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia, 2022-02-16) ;Aisyah Nabihah Sofea Amran ;Daniel Fandi NgiengAmnah Zanariah Abd RazakThe Dabrowski’s concept of overexcitabilities is the heightened intensity and sensitivity displayed in the gifted students’ behaviours when responding to the stimuli in the environment. Dabrowski identified five areas of intensity-psychomotor, sensual, intellectual, imaginational, and emotional. This study was administered to identify the profile of overexcitability among gifted and talented students. This research was a descriptive and inferential quantitative study conducted in order to see the profile and correlation between the two variables. The study sample consisted of 40 students from a gifted and talented school established in Kolej GENIUS Insan, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM), Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. This study employed Questionnaire-II (OEQ II) to measure overexcitability. The findings of this survey demonstrated that gifted and talented students have a unique personality, and there is a significant relationship at a high level between the gifted and overexcitability. However, people often give a negative impression that these students have behaviour or disciplinary problems. The result of this investigation could help to explain the overexcitability and be able to understand the positive and negative elements that exist in students. Therefore, awareness must be cultivated to enhance selfdevelopment and the skills for overexcitable adaptation in the daily life of these students. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Pencapaian STEM di Kalangan Murid Dalam Tempoh Pandemik(Asian Scholar Network, 2022) ;Noor Farina Febra ;Nor Raihan Zulkefly ;Noorzilawati Sahak ;Wan Ahmad Zakry Wan Kamaruddin ;Amnah Zanariah Abd Razak ;Amirah ZainunDiani Mardiana Mat ZinMata pelajaran STEM adalah mata pelajaran yang sangat penting untuk melahirkan tenaga kerja selaras dengan perkembangan teknologi dan sains bagi sebuah negara maju. Kaedah: Data kajian diperolehi dengan melibatkan 102 orang murid daripada Asas 1 hingga Asas 3 yang telah menjawab soal selidik secara talian menggunakan aplikasi Google Form. Data kajian dianalisis dengan menggunakan Korelasi Pearson. Hasil: Seramai 37 (36.3%) murid lelaki dan 65 (63.7%) murid perempuan yang terlibat dalam kajian ini membawa kepada nisbah 1:1.8. Keputusan analisis menunjukkan skor min purata nilaian gred keseluruhan (PNGK) responden bagi semester 1 sesi 2021 adalah 3.61 (sisihan piawai 0.20). Perbincangan: Analisis inferensi pula mendapati terdapat hubungan secara signifikan di antara penglibatan rakan sebaya semasa PdPR dan strategi pembelajaran dengan pencapaian STEM di kalangan murid. Pengaruh rakan sebaya menunjukkan tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan dengan pencapaian STEM. Sungguhpun kemudahan teknologi ini menyumbang kepada kemajuan diri, namun pada masa yang sama menjejaskan perkembangan asas kanak-kanak dan remaja. Perkara ini memberi tekanan dan cabaran kepada ibubapa dalam mendidik anak-anak apatah lagi ibubapa dilahirkan dalam zaman yang berbeza dengan anak-anak mereka. Melihat kepada peranan ibubapa sebagai agen perubahan yang paling hampir dengan anak-anak, maka kajian konseptual ini memfokuskan perbincangan mengenai peranan yang perlu difahami dan dipraktikkan oleh ibubapa. Publication Penilaian Kebolehgunaan Modul Psikopendidikan Gifted (Bagi Isu Keinginsempurnaan, Kebimbangan Sosial dan Keterujaan Luar Biasa) Dalam Kalangan Pelajar Pintar dan Berbakat(Penerbit USIM, 2023) ;Amnah Zanariah Abd Razak ;Shahlan SuratNor Hamizah Ab RazakIsu sosioemosi dalam kalangan pelajar pintar dan berbakat semakin meningkat saban hari terutama dalam kalangan pelajar pintar dan berbakat. Berdasarkan analisis keperluan yang dilaksanakan, isu sosioemosi yang paling kerap yang berlaku dalam kalangan pelajar yang dikaji adalah isu keinginsempurnaan, kebimbangan sosial dan keterujaan luar biasa. Oleh itu satu kajian pembangunan modul dilaksanakan bagi ketiga-tiga isu ini. Produk inovasi modul ini dinamakan sebagai Modul Psikopendidikan GIFTED. Modul ini mempunyai tahap kesahan dan kebolehpercayaan yang tinggi. Bagi fasa penilaian bagi modul ini, soal selidik USE digunakan di dalam kajian ini yang mengandungi 30 item mewakili tiga dimensi penilaian kebolehgunaan iaitu kebergunaan, kepuasan dan kemudahgunaan bagi menguji tahap kebolehgunaan modul ini. Soal selidik USE ini dipilih kerana mempunyai kualiti yang baik bagi mengukur kebolehgunaan produk modul dan telah digunakan secara meluas. Seterusnya kajian ini menjurus kepada objektif kajian bagi mengenal pasti tahap kebolehgunaan modul Psikopendidikan GIFTED dalam kalangan pelajar pintar dan berbakat. Seramai 30 orang pengguna yang terdiri daripada pelajar di sekolah pintar dan berbakat di Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia yang telah menjalani modul psikopendidikan GIFTED ini. Nilai Alpha Cronbach ujian kebolehpercayaan bagi instrumen ini adalah baik. Instrumen USE ini didapati sesuai digunakan bagi mengukur kebolehguaan modul dalam kalangan pengguna modul. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan bahawa Modul Psikopendidikan GIFTED ini mempunyai nilai kebolehgunaan yang sederhana tinggi. Kesimpulannya, Modul Psikopendidikan GIFTED ini terbukti sesuai untuk digunakan bagi membantu isu sosioemosi keinginsempurnaan, kebimbangan sosial dan keterujaan luar biasa dalam kalangan pelajar pintar dan berbakat dalam usaha membangunkan insan yang sejahtera fizikal dan mental. An enrichment programme is one of the approaches to disclose teenager’s interest. This study aims to identify the effectiveness of Halal Action for Young Scientists Camp as an enrichment programme for secondary school students. A week-long camp were administered by Kolej PERMATA Insan USIM to expose ‘halal’ and ‘thoyyib’ education with scientific analysis. In addition, this study also identifies the elevation of science interest through five modules that were exposed through this camp. A survey was given to obtain the overall feedback of the camp including trainers, modules and facilities. Participants in this study were 22 students in total from various secondary schools in Malaysia who participated in the camp. The data analysis was calculated using descriptive and Correlation test. The results of data processing shows that this camp was suitable as an enrichment programme through five related modules. Rather, giftedness appears to bring complexity to an individual, which, depending on a variety of conditions, can either improve or impede with successful adjustment. The objective of the current research is to identify the level of social anxiety among gifted and talented student. The questionnaire for measuring social anxiety used in this study is the Social Anxiety Scale for Adolescent (SAS-A) by La Greca and Lopez (1998). The results of this study revealed that the respondents had a significantly high level of social anxiety. The researcher suggests that a motivational module be developed to help students comprehend and adapt to the uniqueness of this socioemotional issue of social anxiety among gifted and talented students at the conclusion of this study. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

SallehanGifted and talented students are individuals who possess high intellectual potential and the ability to solve problems. Among the uniqueness of their psychological needs is perfectionism and distinctive thinking style. These students place high standards of achievement in their lives. This study aims to identify perfectionism level and dominant thinking style among gifted and talented Muslim students and to see the correlation between perfectionism level and thinking style. Researchers used the Measure of Contruct Underlying Perfectionism (M-CUP) questionnaire by Agnes Mariann Stairs (2009) to evaluate perfectionism and the instrument of Sternberg - Wagner (1997) translated and modified by Ruslin Amir (2007). Quantitative data was analyzed descriptively and inferred using SPSS version 22. Based on the findings of the perfectionism stage, the mean score of perfectionism for gifted and talented students was 195.03. It shows that perfectionism among gifted and talented students in this study is at a moderate level of score between 143 and 224. For thinking styles, 13 types of thinking styles have been measured which are legislative, executive, judicial, monarchy, hierachy, oligarchy, anarchy, global, local, external, internal, liberal and conservative. The dominant thinking style among students by sequence are executive thinking, judicial, monarchy, oligarchy, anarchy, global, local, external and conservative. Whereby non-dominant thinking style among the students are legislative, hierachy, internal and liberal. The study also found that there was no significant correlation or relationship between perfectionism and dominant thinking styles (executive, judicial, monarchy, oligarchy, anarchy, global, external, conservative and local). Some suggestions were made to get a better understanding and help students with perfectionism and at the same time increase their level of thinking styles in the quest of producing future gifted and talented Islamic scholar.
