Publication Donation on behalf of the deceased: Case review(American Scientific Publishers, 2017) ;Mirza A.A.I. ;Aziz M.R.A. ;Faculty of Economics and MuamalatUniversiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM)From the viewpoint of Maqasid al-Shariah (Objective of Islamic Law), Islam gives the right to all human to acquire and consume their wealth freely without any violation to others. The violation in acquiring and consuming wealth includes taking the others right, fraud, wastage and unjust distribution of the wealth. In order to achieve this aim, government, authority party and Takaful operator have to ensure the right and entitlement of all parties in the Takaful transaction are safeguarded. The objective of this paper is to analyze a potential legal case which supposes to involve a legal judgement on Takaful model. The methodology of research in this paper is through a qualitative study based on content analysis of particular court case and available Takaful models in the market. The general finding of this paper shows that a more innovative model for Takaful business is required in order to protect both parties in the transaction namely Takaful operator and Takaful participant. � 2017 American Scientific Publishers All rights reserved. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Until today, this institution still plays an important role especially in Muslim countries. Still, there are many potential mechanisms in order to make it more effective to alleviate poverty and for financing the education of the poor. On the other hand, Islamic waqf bank is a special designed financial institution in Islam. This bank will benefit the student and also their parents, due to its unique structure that could finance students' education in term of fees and cost of living. Islamic waqf bank use the concept of cash waqf in funding the education. Cash waqf is a trust fund established with money to support services for mankind's benefits in the name of Allah. The gifted capital was "transferred" to borrowers for certain period, which was then spent for all sorts of pious and social purposes inclusive for the investment objectives. The objective of this article is to examine the need of students and inclination among Muslim public to contribute for the establishment of Islamicwaqf bank. The increasing challenges in the Islamic financial environment now a days has placed talent enhancement programme and capacity building as a high priority to achieve a sustainable development in the Islamic finance industry. The financial needs of the market participants continue to grow which has led to a demand for greater human capital creativity and innovation in the Islamic financal sector. The aim of this study is to analyze all the talent enhancement programmes in Islamic finance provided by various institutions in Malaysia to be a bridge to connect the requirements of the industry with the talents produced by institutions of higher learning. The methodology of research in this study is through qualitative research based on document analysis on various literatures and information pertaining to various talent enhancement programmes in Islamic finance provided by various institutions in this country. Publication The roles of islamic social welfare assistant (zakat) for the economic development of new convert(2013) ;Johari F. ;Aziz M.R.A. ;Ibrahim M.F. ;Ali A.F.M. ;Faculty of Economics and MuamalatUniversiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM)This study demonstrates literately the importance of social welfare assistant (Zakat) towards the economic development among new convert. As one of the several instruments by Islam, Zakat is important to combat and enhance welfare in the society. It also helps to generate a flow of funds and recruit the necessary manpower. Meanwhile, new convert Muslims has just made the biggest decision of their lives and changed their religion as well as their way of live to one that they are unfamiliar with in many ways. Thus, Zakat plays significant role in enhancing economic development in order 'to win' and 'to soften' the heart of the new convert to follow Islam as a way of life. Previous Islamic scholar agreed that the term new convert also includes non-Muslims, but only for the purpose of turning their hearts to Islam. The objective of this article is to explore the problems of new converts and the contribution of Zakat towards reducing their problems. Qualitative method based on document analysis and interview with recent officer are used in this article. This article is trying to answer the type of problem that new convert are facing and trying to look at Zakat distribution as the solution for their problems. � IDOSI Publications, 2013.
