Publication Evaluating Usability for Mobile Application: A MAUEM Approach(Assoc Computing Machinery, 2015) ;Saleh, A ;Ismail, RFabil, NMany traditional usability metrics were purposely created for desktop computer applications and may not be directly applicable to mobile device applications. Usability metrics refer as means of measuring or evaluating the usability factors, attributes and related measurable criteria corresponding to usability attributes. The objectives of this paper were to evaluate the usability attributes and metrics of mobile device applications by using the unsupervised usability evaluation tool. Subjective and objective measurements were used to clarify the usability metrics collected in the log file which are generated by the unsupervised usability tool. The proposed Mobile Application Usability Evaluation Metrics (MAUEM) model can provides guidance on how and what to measure for each usability attribute which could lead to a complete usability evaluation for a mobile application. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Impact Of Motivation Towards Learning Language Achievement Through Dst Approach(Iated-Int Assoc Technology Education A& Development, 2014) ;Fabil, N ;Razuan, FA ;Zaki, NAAIsmail, ZThe aim of this research is to find out the effectiveness of using digital storytelling (DST) towards the achievements and students motivation in learning Bahasa Melayu. Seventy (70) students from 138 students from a primary school in Hilir Perak district have been selected and assigned to their respective groups by using random sampling method. The experimental research design is adopted, with respondents divided into the experimental group and control group. Two types of instruments have been used in this research which are questionnaire and test sets in order to examine the impact of motivation towards students' achievement through the usage of DST approach in teaching and learning Malay Language. The mean analysis, t-test and correlation test are used to measure the difference in pre-test and post-test results as well as the student's motivation. This study shows that DST approach in teaching and learning had increased students' motivation (mean = 4.51) and improved students' achievements (mean = 89.1, t = 6.074). The findings also shows that there is significant correlation between motivation and students' achievements (r = .482). Therefore, the result shows that there is an impact of motivation toward the students' achievement through the activities of teaching and learning Bahasa Melayu using the DST approach.
