Publication Developing A Module For Islamic Foresight As A Tool For Shared Prosperity And Social Well-being(Zes Rokman Resources, 2021) ;Norfadhilah Mohamad Ali ;Hendun Binti Abd. Rahman Shah ;Muhammad Nizam Bin Awang ;Nisar Mohammad Bin AhmadFadhlina Binti AliasFutures studies and foresight play a critical role in enhancing one’s capacity to ‘use-the-future’ in order to pursue both personal and institutional well-being and development. It is an emerging concept that is promoted as a necessary literacy skill by the United Nations under UNESCO, which corresponds with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Many countries have adopted this as a national agenda, but it is still underdeveloped in the Islamic world. This can be attributed to the scarcity of talents in the field, lack of public awareness and the level of effort to integrate it as part of the education process towards long term social transformation. This paper aims at introducing futures studies and foresight to the Islamic world, with an exploration of appropriate methods to allow deeper articulation of the Islamic context of futures. Apart from literature reviews, the approach applied for this article is qualitative observations from Focus Group Discussions (FGD) with Islamic scholars and Muslim youths. This is essential to garner feedback and interest in futures studies, and to relate it to Islamic texts and traditions. The trajectory of this study is geared towards shared prosperity and social well-being, to live in co-existence with other faiths, respond, revisit and adapt to cultures, enhance the empowerment of women and youth, as well as nation building. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
