One of the important aspects in the hadith study is the hadith understanding. Contextual approach is one of the approaches in the hadith understanding. Publication Expanding hadith understanding using ontology(American Scientific Publishers, 2017) ;Junaidi, Juliyana ;Jamal, Ikmal Hafiz ;Ghazali, Norzulaili Mohd ;Ahmad, Hishomudin ;Salam, Rosalina Abdul ;Faculty of Science and Technology ;Faculty of Major Language Studies ;Faculty of Quranic and Sunnah StudiesUniversiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM)Hadith which defined as the speeches, actions, tacit approvals and characteristics of Prophet Muhammad PBUH requires thorough attention in understanding. One of the principles in comprehending hadith is by understanding the content contextually, and it could be done by gathering related hadith under a certain concept. Ontology could play the role in the enhancement of this particular principle. However, the usage of ontology in the field of hadith is still limited due to various books of hadith available. Furthermore, the existing hadith ontology has only been focusing on the method of narration section. Thus, this study aims to propose an ontology based on hadith. Apart from that, it intends to explain the context of hadith prior to ontology creation. In order to achieve these objectives, several phases have been conducted to expand the understanding of hadith. The word Samica which means hearing has been chosen as a sample in this approach. The phases involved were the identification of the noun form of the word Samica, the extraction of hadith with the word Samica, the analysis of hadith based on several commentaries books, as well as the development of the ontology. The results indicated that the hadith could be categorized into several concepts which are Allah, Belief, and Sharicah. Allah, Belief and Sharicah have been recognized as crucial concepts in Islamic knowledge. In summary, ontology could be utilized in expanding hadith understanding. 2017 American Scientific Publishers All rights reserved. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication The prophet’s communication approach towards ‘Aishah r.A. based on selected hadith in Sahih Bukhari(American Scientific Publishers, 2017) ;Ibrahim, Nur Thahirah ;Muhamad, Nurul Asiah Fasehah ;Jaafar, Noornajihan ;Ghazali, Norzulaili Mohd ;Khassim, Noor Azma Mohamad ;Nor, Zulhilmi Mohamed ;Ahmad, Hishomudin Bin ;Islamic Science Institute ;Faculty of Major Language Studies ;Faculty of Quranic and Sunnah StudiesUniversiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM)Communication is important in building a harmonious household and in strengthening the relationship between a husband and wife. However, the lack of communication could cause confusion, misunderstanding, and even arguments and divorce (Khalili, 2011; Enrichment, 1914; Atika Widayanti and Puji Lestari, 2014). According to statistics, in the first three months of 2016, there have been 15,231 cases of divorce in Malaysia. Moreover, studies claim that communication problems are among the main causes of divorce (Atika Widayanti and Puji Lestari, 2014). Due to these problems, it is crucial to review the best methods of communication and refer to them. Therefore, this study analysed the connotations of a number of hadiths from Sahih Bukhari through their interpretations and characterised the two-way conversations. The study also explored the approach of the Prophet in communicating with his wife by using some of the hadiths that were narrated by ‘Aishah r.a. in Sahih Bukhari. Furthermore, the study has applied a qualitative approach through an inductive analysis of texts. The implications of the study will increase the understanding of how to communicate with wives from verbal and nonverbal aspects.
