Publication Banastic-Lizer: Fabrication Of Eco-Friendly Plastic From Banana Peels(Kolej Genius Insan, USIM, 2022-11-29) ;Syahidil Erfan Syah Doris ;Muhammad Ikmal Arip ;Nur Adibah Mohd Nizam ;Nurul Jannah Abd RahmanHaslinawati Mohd MustaphaTons of plastic produced each year to fulfil human needs. However, the major issue arises on how to dispose of the plastic bags. Plastic bags contain chemicals originating from petroleum distillation products. Upon burning or burying those plastic bags, toxic chemical reactions can pose harms to the living things and the environment. Additionally, plastics need approximately around 500 years to completely decompose. Therefore, we introduce Banastic-lizer as a green plastic as the solution to these problems. This project enables the fabrication of the eco-friendly plastic material from banana peels which is biodegradable in nature and reduce the harmful effects of material decomposition to the Earth. In fact, the banana peels have antioxidant properties, fibrous structures and essential nutrients. As the results, the Banastic-lizer is safe for the application by consumers without giving any harmful side effects. Plus, it can be used as a fertilizer due to the high content of nutrients. This eco-friendly plastic has a chance to be commercialized due to its affordable cost. As a conclusion, the conservation of the environment can be achieved if we continue using the green and environmentally friendly products. With this project, we hope that it could be a kick-start towards the efforts of saving the Earth in the coming future. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Publication Electromagnetic Wave Absorption Performance Of Carbon Nanocoils By Using Mixed Ferrites As Catalyst(Erzincan Binali Yıldırım University Graduate School of Natural and Applied Science., 2022) ;Fadzidah Mohd Idris ;Hatika Kaco ;Siti Munirah Mohd ;Nurhidaya Mohamad Jan ;Haslinawati Mohd MustaphaZanariah Mohd IdrisRapid development of electronic devices and advanced technology creates more electromagnetic wave interference that is harmful to human health as well as equipment. Thus, the use of electromagnetic (EM) wave absorber becomes more focused among researchers and attracted more public attention. Carbon nanocoils (CNs) have been introduced due to its chemical, physical and mechanical properties that can produce lightweight, wide absorption range and strong absorption. This research highlights the use of mixed ferrites (Fe3O4 and CoFe2O4) as catalyst to grow carbon nanocoils. Different weight percentages of Fe3O4 and CoFe2O4 were mixed to grow carbon nanocoils and further used as fillers to be incorporated into epoxy matrix. The morphological study of synthesized carbon nanocoils and reflection loss of the prepared polymer composites were studied in the range of X-band and Ku-band at thickness 1 mm, 2 mm, and 3 mm. The reflection loss achieved shows that mixed ferrites as catalyst to grow carbon nanocoils have great potential to be used as an excellent EM wave absorbers at low thickness. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Flood Water Filtration and Purification System(Kolej PERMATA Insan, 2023-12-23) ;Izzah Rufaidah Mohd Iqram ;Izzah Husnina Kana’in ;Noor Amirah Mohamad ;Durratun Nasihin Muhammad HadafiHaslinawati Mohd MustaphaA flood is a disaster that happens unexpectedly and causes death, devastation of property or the environment, as well as having an impact on local community activities. This crisis calls for intensive management of resources, frequency, and people from numerous agencies as well as efficient coordination and the necessary actions. Contamination of water facilities is the most frequent concern connected to flooding. Due to the mudslides produced by the rains, the water becomes murky and stinky. This water source is no longer usable as a source of water for daily tasks. In order to help those in need of clean water during a disaster, this study was carried out. Empty bottles, eggshells, coconut coir, and river stones are examples of recycled and environmentally acceptable products that can be used to reduce solid waste. Due to the exceedingly alarming daily discharge rate of these materials, we used it to protect the environment and live sustainably. The process starts with adding the tainted water to the large bottle. The water will then pass through the filter part, which is made of four layers. The first layer is coconut coir which has a high porosity due to its fibre nature. The second layer is charcoal which is excellent for absorbing oil because it contains activated carbon. The next layer is pebbles, which can filter out coarse solutions. The last layer is eggshell, which is rich in calcium carbonate and can filter out radioactive materials. As a result, the water that is released from the bottle will be neutral and suitable for use in everyday tasks. This demonstrates that this study can continue to revolutionise not only in this nation but also in other countries due to its low price and environmentally friendly. In terms of the study's findings, we hope that it will serve as an incentive for helping individuals to deal with this issue when a crisis arises. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Investigating the Relationship Between Motivation and Self-regulated Learning Towards Physics Subject Among Foundation Students(Universisti Teknologi MARA Press, 2024) ;A’bir Wardati binti Abd.Latif ;Siti Aisyah Zawawi ;Ku Siti Syahidah Ku Mohd Noh ;Nor Fadzilah Arom Karoman ;Haslinawati Mohd MustaphaNadiah KamaruzamanPhysics is evaluated as one of the most challenging subjects among students in the science field during their high school years and becomes more difficult in college or foundation level. Due to various factors incorporated in this study, which investigates the relationship between foundation students’ motivation and self-regulated learning toward physics subjects, certain students are unable to receive exceptional results or perform poorly. The study's target group encompassed all foundation students enrolled in physics courses from two Malaysian institutions. The survey adapted from Tuckman's model was used as the instrument for data collection and was created via Google Forms using a 3-Likert scale. This study focuses on students’ perspectives, motivation, and self-regulated learning practices for physics subjects. A total data of 262 respondents was successfully obtained and transferred to IBM Statistics (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) Version 28 for analysis. A conclusive and agreeable result of students' perspectives from the survey is that students themselves must give their best effort to comprehend physics with a very high mean of 2.8740. The greatest mean of 2.6870 for students' motivation indicated that the lecturer's support was a driving force behind their desire to learn. However, the greatest mean value of 2.6794 was found for self-regulated learning suggesting that even if students dislike the subject of physics, they still need to put in a lot of effort to get decent grades. The final findings showed a strong positive correlation, (r = .634*) and (p = .000) between students' perspectives and cognitive strategy used among students towards physics subjects. Moderate positive correlations were obtained for both correlations between motivation and cognitive strategy used (r = .464*) and (p = .000). - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

- Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Open & Distance Learning (ODL) Among University Students During the Covid-19 Endemic In Malaysia: An Evidence from Public University(Jana Publication and Research, 2024) ;Muhammad Faizuddin Ahmad Fadullah ;Mohd Khairi Ismail ;Nor Asiah Mahmood ;Haslinawati Mohd Mustapha ;Nur Idayu Ah Khaliludin ;Nur Ilyana Ismarau TajuddinNur Diyana Bt MustaphaBecause of the COVID-19 epidemic, several educational institutions all around the world had to postpone classes. In Malaysia, the suspension began in March 2020. Throughout the first semester, this scenario persisted, requiring educational institutions to move to online classrooms and changing the academic calendar for the following years. The reality of online learning has sparked a discussion about a new pedagogical approach in which teachers and students must learn how to manage online learning and make the most of online tools. Students must first understand the challenges presented by online distance learning in order to do this (ODL). This essay will examine how students perceive the difficulties of online education in the wake of the COVID-19 epidemic. 495 UiTM Terengganu students who actively participated in online learning activities served as the study's sample. Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Logistic Regression were used to examine the difficulties of online learning. In this study, the data was analysed using EFA and Logistic Regression to determine what factors account for the ODL issues that UiTM Terengganu students face. The results show that for most students, the internet and technology provide the biggest obstacles. Interaction between students and lecturers, psychological problems, challenging examinations, and self-management were also mentioned as obstacles.
