Historically antecedent toward under development as a result of conflict. The paper went further to explain the modus-operandi of the group that encompasses killings of innocent people, bombing places of worship, raping and kidnapping in the name of religion to achieve their barbaric goals. The negative effect of the terrorists group (Boko Haram) activities on the social development in Yobe State of Nigeria has become so devastating that even some of the financial institutions and other commercial ventures shut-down in many areas of the state especially the state capital (Damaturu), thereby causing relocation of many people to various safe places within and even outside the region. It is based on the aforementioned that this paper seeks to explore the extent to which Boko Haram insurgency has affected the peace and social development in Yobe State of Nigeria. The paper explains the concepts of conflict, peace and social development; the research used focus groups discussion to generate information and gain knowledge on the extent of effect of the conflict on social development. The paper concluded that Boko Haram constitute a serious problem to the development of various sectors in the State. It was recommended among others that the institution of Zakat and endowment be revive and all stakeholders should put hands on deck towards the realization of high level of peace and social security by strategizing different ways of fighting the menace of Boko Haram in the region. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Islam And Information Perspective On Some Modern Communication Technologies Between Legality And Prohibition(Faculty of Syariah and Law, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia, 2020-10-27) ;Muhammad Mujtaba Abdulkadir ;Ibrahim Dahiru Idriss ;Taofeek Muhammed ThaniHafsat Sulaiman IdrisIslam as a religion condemned in equivocal terms, forms of innovation in the religion, as related from prophetic traditions: “whoever introduces something new (Bid’ah) into this affair of ours (Religion of Islam), something which does not originally belongs to it, it is rejected”. Life in the modern time (21st century) is full of worldly innovations, some of which are even utilized in furtherance of Islamic activities, ethics and values. This paper aimed at an attempt to explore on the status of such innovative objects as well as their position in Islamic Shari’ah. It is in the light of the above that the research chooses and focused on Information and Communication Technologies (ICT’s) and its related innovations and termed as “Islam and Information perspectives on some Modern Communication Technologies (ICT’s); between Legality and Prohibition” This is because some Muslims misunderstood the real Islamic rules, to the extent that some denominations tagged the western education and technological innovations as forbidden. The discrepancy between the plight of Islam and different innovations that have been attached to it can be mainly found through the interplay and the features of different technological advancements such as social networks, computer applications, computer usage, cyber related crimes & social menace (such as hacking, fraud on the net, computer virus, computer games, pornography and some related issues) were observed). Documents analysis were employed for the data collection in conducting this work study. The findings show that the (ICT’s) application in Islamic perspective is very valuable to procure the possible solutions to the predicaments faced by the entire humanity in all life ramifications be it socio-economic, legal and political advancements and the host of others. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication The Potentials of Waqf to Attain Youth Empowerment for Low Level of Corruption and Peaceful Coexistence in Kano, Nigeria(USIM Press, 2023) ;Nura Abubakar Gwadabe ;Asmak Ab RahmanIbrahim Dahiru IdrissThe study was aimed to explore the potential roles of Waqf institutions in the provision of youth empowerment for low level of corruption in Kano state. The low level of corruption is one of the pillars of positive peace. Youth unemployment, lack of resources, lack of funding resulted in high corruption in society, and this resulted in the increase in crime rate, insecurity,and social vices among the youth in the state. The youth’s conditions in Kano need urgent attention to salvage the peace and tranquility of the state. Theresearch uses the qualitative approach to examine the potential role of Waqf in addressing these issues and recommends the ways which Waqf funds used to efficiently empowered the youth, Whereas, the interview was conducted, and the data were analyzed thematically. This research foundthe Waqf has the potential in addressing the menace of unemployment, insecurity,and other social vices among the youth in Kano, lower the level of corruption and established peace. The study concluded thatWaqf institutions have the potential role in addressing youth empowerment for the low level of corruption and peaceful coexistence in the state. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

It has been creating doubts, errors, fantasies, disconnections and confusions in the mind of the Muslims and most importantly the youth. This pathetic scenario metamorphoses and it has been causing the youths too greatly in losing their self-identity as Muslims. The inability to learn and experience the uniqueness of the educational pedagogy of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) has failed many people woefully to see the beauty of Islam in its holistic approach with regards to its educational pedagogy. Different pedagogical theories that have been formulated by the secular educationists carried out the notion of different belief systems from the west and its Eurocentric ideology. However, having studied the life and teachings of a man who has been considered as the best exemplary and the modest for the entire humanity by the Muslim and non-Muslims alike. It has been clearly noted that there are varieties of ways and teaching methods applied by the Prophet (PBUH) to educate the old and the young in different ways, nature, time, techniques or different patterns. This study is aimed to revisiting or unraveling different methods used by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to nurture and educate his companions, family, friends and foes alike. This study is carried out through exploratory research to revisiting different teaching methods and techniques of the Prophet (PBUH) from different sources such as Hadith, Sunnah and the Seerah of the Prophet (PBUH). The researchers tried to gain further insights in different aspects with includes strategies, applications, stages and processes, etc. The researcher initially started with general overview about of the teaching methods and the techniques exercised by Prophet (PBUH), in his holistic methods of teaching and learning. This has been used as a tool to identify some critical related issues that could pave ways to different area of focuses for the furtherance study. Amongst the instruments used in this study includes documents analysis, journals, books, university record and report, interviewing Islamic educators and observation. Publication Zakat Model For Countering The Adverse Impact Of Covid-19 Pandemic On Individuals In Bauchi State Nigeria(USIM Press, 2021-10) ;Adamu Abubakar MuhammadIbrahim Dahiru IdrissThe current menace of COVID-19 pandemic has already impacted almost each and every one across the globe directly or indirectly. The focus of world leaders and economist has now shifted from spread of the disease to the economic consequences which will bring hardship to the society in general and individuals in particular. The menace of the pandemic resulted shortage of production which will result into the shortage of supply and consequently will end as loss of jobs and employment for millions of individuals around the globe. The most important group of people to be considered in our society during any crisis are daily wage earners who will have to bear the major burnt of this crisis. The proposed integrated Model of collecting and distributing Zakat can help the government agencies and economic institutions to minimize the adverse impact of COVID-19 pandemic on individuals in Bauchi State Nigeria. The present study explores the possibility of Zakat as a financing method to fight the adverse impact of COVID-19 pandemic on poor individuals in the society. It provides the solution by proposing an Islamic Model of collecting Zakat and its well distribution. The qualitative approach which include review of related literatures and interview with relevant bodies on personnel’s have been adopted in the study. While inductive approach of thematic analysis was utilized for data analysis. The findings of the study reveal that Zakat as an Islamic finance model have immense potential to fight any kind of situation and pandemic in respect of location, era, people or religion. Zakat, if properly collected, well managed and accurately distributed can help to fight the adverse effect of COVID-19 pandemic on individuals in the study area. Practical Implications to be used as an effective way to support poor individuals during and after the period of COVID-19 pandemic in Bauchi State Nigeria. The study will contribute massively to the existing literature and will help the government, religious organizations and civil societies in fighting the economic impact of COVID-19 pandemic on individuals in Bauchi State, Nigeria.
