Publication Application of OASys approaches for Prophetic Food Ontology(Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia, 2020) ;Mohd Tawil, S.F. ;Ismail, R. ;Abdul Wahid, F. ;Md Norwawi, N.Mazlan, A.A.Ontology is an established knowledge representation enriched with a semantic interpretation that offered a mechanism for sharing mutual ideas and understanding among the members of a related domain. Semantic interpretation provided by the ontology has a structure that could facilitate the presentation of information for the users. This paper presents the ontology construction of prophetic food specifically for Dates and Goats Milk by using the OASys approaches. The ontology content focusing on the dates attributes, the developing stages of dates, defect and diseases of dates, health benefits, its compositions, and the chain of operation. Besides, the ontology content for goat’s milk includes its nutrition, its cure for a medical problem, and the production. The construction of this ontology can be used to answer user queries, data integration to other applications as well as expand the ontology to a context mining semantic information retrieval search engine known as Naqli Aqli Integrated Search Engine (NAISE). This system is a query system based on integrated Naqli and Aqli knowledge heterogeneous sources on prophetic food. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Factors Influencing Information Seeking Behaviour for Halal Food Products Among Malaysian Muslim Consumers: A Conceptual Framework(Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia, 2019) ;S. Omari, F. ;Azman, N.Ismail, R.In the new global economy, information seeking behavior of halal food products has become a central issue for Muslims. Muslims in Malaysia form two-third of the entire population who makes the significance of consuming halal food products. This paper presents a conceptual framework on the information seeking behavior of Malaysian Muslim consumers while searching for halal food products. This conceptual framework presents the potential factors that might influence the information seeking behavior for halal food products among Malaysian Muslim consumers. This paper assumes that there is a relationship among human information attributes, namely: attitude, habit and awareness of individual and sources of information as factors that may lead to an effective information searching process. This study provides insights into how Malaysian Muslim consumers seek information for a halal food product that offers an effective searching process. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
