Ozone is a type of gas molecule that plays an important role in controlling excessive ultraviolet rays from the sun that protects the biological system of the Earth. In modern medicine, ozone has been widely used for various purposes such as treatment for drinking water and cosmetics therapies. However, the use of ozone as a medicinal therapy is still controversial and has been opposed by medical expertises since it is harmful and toxic to humans. This study is aimed at examining the history of ozone therapy development, as well as analysing the use of ozone therapy in Malaysia. In addition, this study discusses the benefits and disadvantages of ozone to humans as well as analysis of Sharia on ozone therapy treatment. This qualitative study depends on document analysis, interviews and observation. The results of the study show that ozone therapy is not an appropriate therapy as there are more adverse effects than good ones. The study is expected to help stakeholders such as patients, medical practitioners, health departments and Islamic religious departments to increase their understanding about the use of ozone as a medicinal therapy. IAEME Publication. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Critical review of religion in coping against the COVID-19 pandemic by former COVID-19 muslim patients in Malaysia(Innovare Academics Sciences Pvt. The human physiological need refers to bodily health, whereas the internal need refers to the mental or spiritual aspect required for creating feelings of calmness in a person. When a need is not fulfilled, a crisis within a person emerges. Erikson opined that a person usually faces a problem caused by psychological or physiological aspects. The physical and psychological (internal) aspects of an individual should be simulated within a person until they are capable of facing a crisis. One type of crisis that influences the balance of the physical and psychological (internal) aspects is the situational crisis. A situational crisis occurs when a certain external element influences the psychological balance in an individual or the environment. For example, those suffering from COVID 19 are experiencing a situational crisis in the form of disruptions to the sufferer's physical and psychological (internal) states. 2020 Innovare Academics Sciences Pvt. Publication Istihalah and its effects on food: An islamic perspective(IAEME Publication, 2018) ;Kashim M.I.A.M. ;Alias M.N. ;Zin D.M.M. ;Said N.L.M. ;Zakaria Z. ;Salleh A.D. ;Jamsari E.A. ;PERMATA Insan College ;Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM)Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM)Istihalah is the main issue amongst Muslim scholars regarding food and beverage in this age of biotechnology by which the original form of good food production can be changed. A discussion of istihalah is not only limited to issues related to foods and beverage, but also involves issues regarding cleanliness or taharah in Islam. Currently, the main issue related to food and beverage industry is the mixing of halal with haram substances. The objective of this study is to determine whether the istihalah process can be categorized as istihalah sahihah (complete transformation) or istihalah fasidah (imperfect transformation), through physico-chemical changes and properties such as the nature, taste, smell, colour of foods that have undergone the istihalah process. Views of fiqh scholars were taken and examined to unravel these issues. This is a qualitative study using the methods of applying evidence from the al-Qur'an and Hadith and also scholars' opinions from credible sources such as fiqh books, food science books, websites and other related resources. The study concludes that the istihalah process is allowed in Islam only if it is istihalah sahihah. However, it is not easy to determine the halal or haram status of food produced using the biotechnology process. A detailed and careful study is needed to determine halal status taking into account several elements. IAEME Publication. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Teachers’ knowledge and practice in implementing the thematic approach in pre-school(IAEME Publication, 2019-01-01) ;Zin D.M.M. ;Mohamed S. ;Kashim M.I.A.M. ;Jamsari E.A. ;Kamaruzaman A.F. ;Rahman Z.A. ;PERMATA Insan College ;Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM)Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM)This is an initial study which preceded the implementation of a 4-phase collaborative action research using the Mac Naughton & Hughes model. The purpose of this study is to explore the existing knowledge and practice of teachers in implementing a thematic approach in the planning and implementation aspect of the learning and facilitation process (PdPc). This early observation involved five teachers from different pre-schools. The data collected in a field study was through observation and interview. Critical observation was based on comparison between two pre-schools as the benchmark. Observation and interview of research participants found that teachers of the two pre-schools had no in-depth understanding of the thematic approach even though they admitted to using the National Pre-school Standard Curriculum (Kurikulum Standard Prasekolah Kebangsaan or KSPK). Two teachers made annual theme-based planning and only one made daily theme-based planning. Three other teachers did not make annual theme-based planning but used topics in workbooks as themes. All teachers arranged their schedule for child learning based on separate subjects. All teachers frequently used a one-way teaching method, lacked variety in teaching methods and stressed on academic development, while use of textbooks and worksheets prevailed. This situation showed that the principle of thematic teaching was unfulfilled, that is, teachers did not combine various subjects and knowledge, child skills, variety of learning styles as well as child development domains appropriate to age and ability. Research findings gives input to researchers to make changes and improvements to teaching practice in implementing the thematic approach through collaborative action research. A Guideline for Implementation of Thematic Approach is required to assist and guide other teachers on how to begin the process of implementing the thematic approach. IAEME Publication.
