In Malaysia, income zakat is a major contributor to state treasury compared to other types of zakat. However, until today the awareness of many civil servants regarding the payment of income zakat, is not yet comprehensive. Some previous studies have shown that they still choose a scheduled salary deduction (PGB) for income tax payment rather than income zakat. Researchers conducted a study on the role of media in Malaysia in injecting awareness and understanding on targeted group on the importance of income zakat through PGB as an alternative to income tax. This quantitative survey aimed at: 1) measuring the effectiveness of the media in channeling the awareness of government staff on this issue and 2) measuring the level of understanding of the group on the obligation to pay the income of zakat through monthly salary deduction. A total of 500 civil servants within the Management and Professional groups (grades 41 and above) around Selangor, Putrajaya and Kuala Lumpur were listed as the selected respondents in the survey. Researchers found that the majority of respondents were informed about the importance of income zakat through the Internet compared to other media sources. While the print media is the main source of information for people over the age of 40. The findings show that electronic media is a major source of information for young people who earn more than RM 4000 monthly. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Perubatan Nabi: Kefahaman Terhadap Sunnah Dan Praktis Perawat(Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia, 2019) ;Kasim RamliSofia Hayati YusoffSetiap insan pasti mengalami sakit. Pesakit perlukan rawatan. Lazimnya perawat merawat pesakit berasaskan kepercayaan, ilmu, tradisi dan persekitaran. Nabi Muhammad s.a.w telah mengamalkan beberapa teknik rawatan untuk merawat diri sendiri, ahli keluarga dan para sahabat. Kajian ini bertujuan 1) meneliti keberkesanan rawatan nabawi terhadap pesakit 2) menyatakan kewujudan teknik rawatan yang lebih mesra jiwa, lebih selamat dan lebih jimat berbanding ubat berasaskan kimia dan dadah 3) mengenalpasti sesetengah institusi perubatan di Malaysia yang masih mengamalkan legasi nabawi ini dalam era kemajuan perubatan moden. 4) menyatakan bahawa sebahagian kaedah ini tertakluk kepada kajian dan ujian yang sesuai dengan kehendak persekitaran, peredaran zaman ramuan perubatan. Metod Kajian ini berdasarkan pengalaman khidmat rawatan pengkaji sendiri dan penglibatan beliau dengan persatuan perubatan Islam ternama dalam negara serta penelitian terhadap teks al-Quran dan al-Sunnah. Kajian ini mendapati tiada kritikan terhadap pelbagai kaedah perubatan kecuali berkaitan penggunaan pelbagai bahan herba. Berasaskan pengalaman rawatan pengkaji, terdapat puluhan kes kesembuhan pesakit melalui penggunaan herba yang dinyatakan dalam hadis tetapi terdapat juga puluhan kes kesembuhan pesakit disebabkan pengguna bahan-bahan herba tempatan.
