Publication Implementation of a Western-based Multiliteracies Pedagogy in Malaysia: A Socio-cultural Perspective(Penerbit Univ Kebangsaan Malaysia, 2015) ;Puteh-Behak, F ;Darmi, RMohamed, YThis paper discusses arising issues when a Western pedagogy in a Malaysian context is implemented. In finding a suitable pedagogy to address issues of low employability among Malaysian university graduates, academia prefers to implement a learning pedagogy such as multiliteracies approach from Western countries. However this practice is creating issues of adaptability among Malaysian students. Therefore this study investigates the implementation of the Multiliteracies pedagogy, a Western teaching approach; in a Malaysian university classroom that taught English as a Second Language (ESL). The method of the study was grounded to the philosophy of a participatory action research and data was collected through classroom observation, informal conversations and classroom artefacts. 30 Bakti Polytechnic students. experiences using the multiliteracies approach in learning ESL was the focus of this study. Due to the importance of reflection and action in a participatory action research, data was analysed through a Critical Reflective Analysis Steps, which included the process of observing and noting personal reflections, confronting and thinking, and taking action. The findings suggest that students had issues with working in teams, completing critical analysis and participating actively in classroom discussions. The study proposes a framework to guide the implementation of a Western-based pedagogy in a Malaysian context. Indeed, the practice requires deep deliberation of the students. socio-cultural practices and cultures of learning to ensure that optimum result could be achieved from the introduction of the new pedagogy. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Motivation In Good Dealings: An Analysis Of Surah Ad-Dhuha From The Psychological And Rhetorical Perspectives(Univ Sultan Zainal Abidin, 2017) ;Azura, WAW ;Fazullah, MZAA ;Samah, R ;Ahmad, H ;Mohamed, YIbrahim, MThis paper aims to analyze the application of Balaghah al-Badi (embellishments) in the following aspects. First, the aspect of motivation or encouragement in conducting good dealings in surah ad-Dhuha. Second, the secret of selecting certain words and their interpretations in terms of the meaning and stylistic semantics in the same surah. The knowledge of balaghah al-Quran illuminates the art and beautifulness of the Quran from rhetorical perspective. Surah ad-Dhuha describes the rhetoric from the embellishment perspective such as al-Tibaq (anti-thesis), al-Muqabalah (multithesis), al-Jinas and al-Saj'(rhymed prose). This qualitative study used Quran as the primary source of reference, while the secondary sources are the tafseer of Quran from the language aspects (al-Tafsir al-Lughawi) and books which are related to I'jaz al-Quran and Arabic balaghah. The findings indicate that the application of al-Badi in surah ad-Dhuha is not merely a hieroglyphic of the Quran, but without the element of al-Badi, it will lead to the distortion of meanings. The arrangement of the verses in this surah employs decorative elegance and it is one of the most effective ways in the educational process of human psyche. This study is one of the upward research areas in the applied Arabic rhetoric and hopefully it will provide a significant contribution to the interpretation and analysis of various themes in the Quran. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication The Integration of Naqli and Aqli in Teaching Arabic for Specific Purposes (ASP) in Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM)(Penerbit Univ Kebangsaan Malaysia, 2018) ;Mohamed, Y ;Abdullah, H ;Haque, MIsmail, SArabic for specific purpose (ASP) courses have been introduced by Faculty of Major Languages Studies are offering to the Arabic Language and Communication both undergraduate and postgraduate students in Islamic Science University of Malaysia (USIM) since 2005. It is compulsory subjects under the above program. To in line with the University Mission "USIM 16" that USIM will be the regional reference centre for integration Naqli dan Aqli in the world. The Faculty of Major Languages Studies takes part to empower the courses of integrating Naqli dan Aqli in all subjects offered by the faculty. ASP has been integrated Naqli dan Aqli in teaching and learning through resources have been using by lecturers in the faculty to find out how lecturers integrate Naqli dan Aqli in their daily teaching, the researcher has distributed the questionnaire to all 5 lecturers who are involved in teaching this subject to obtain the implementation data. This qualitative research will investigate integration Naqli dan Aqli in ASP to find out the existence models have been using by those lectures in their teaching. The findings conclude that no specific model is referred to or used in teaching of ASP. However, all lecturers have implemented Naqli dan Aqli in their teaching using their own method. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

As a divine revelation of heaven and the source of legislation, it guides towards "sirat al-mustaqim". The holy Quran dominates the work of great writers and scholars and has attracted their minds with the finest literary features which have been embarked in the study and have dived into the secrets, in "aagash of Quran" by Shykh Abdul Al-Qahir El-Gorjani. This study examined the miraculous Quran in RisalahSyafiah. He thwarted those who said (purely) the eloquence of Quran is non-miraculous, Even the Kufr Quraisy could not perform or create Quran because Allah (s.w.t) has blocked their hearts and their indictment to say that Quran is eloquence and rhetoric. This research has emphasized on "aaghash" (miracle or extraordinary) in "RisalahSyafiah" of Abdul Al-Qahir El-Gorjani, trying to explain general matters and El-Gorjani's theory about "aaghash", in which could be summarized that defy 'purely', as the main topic to be discussed. This research emphasized one of the topics related with a citation from the Quran (nas) in which could be developed and most valuable. Hence, in comparison between Al-Jurjaani opinion and Abd Al-Jabbar's opinion is to determine that Abd El-Jabbar had influenced ElGorjani for his view and theory about "purely"
