For Islamic studies amongst public research universities, they will need to study this course in order to complete their studies’ credit hour to fulfil the requirement of their respective faculty. Hence, this study focused on students’ perception of Ulum Al-Quran course in higher education at two research universities namely; National University of Malaysia (UKM) and University of Malaya (UM). The aims of this research are to know the perception of students about Ulum Al-Quran course, the acceptance of Ulum Al-Quran course outline and Ulum Al-Quran reference book or syllabus. The results from the respondents’ feedbacks, is expected to assist the public research universities and the lecturers; especially the department of Islamic Studies, to assess the strengths and weaknesses of what has been done in implementing the lesson towards better improvement in Ulum AlQuran studies. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Teaching Technique Of Islamic Studies In Higher Learning Institutions For Non-arabic Speakers : experience Of Faculty Of Quranic And Sunah Studies And Tamhidi Centre, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia(Horizon Research Publishing Corporation, 2016) ;Azniwati Abdul Aziz ;Mohamed Akhiruddin Ibrahim ;Mohammad Hikmat ShakerAzlina Mohamed NorGlobalization causes educational institutions to encounter various challenges and demand, in which they need to play their roles in improving competitiveness and world-class quality education. Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) as a university that integrates Naqli and Aqli knowledge has taken the globalization challenge by requiring the adoption of English and Arabic language as a teaching and learning medium with adaptability of knowledge discipline even though majority of the lecturer and students are non-speakers of those languages. For Islamic Studies field, the required medium is Arabic language since it is a discipline of al-Naqli knowledge which is based on knowledge in Arabic language where all the basic sources of Islamic studies namely al-Quran, Hadis and Thurath books are in Arabic language. The objective of this article is to study the teaching techniques applied by the non-Arabic speaking lecturers when they carry out teaching and learning process of Islamic studies to non-Arabic speaking students. This research was conducted based on experience of the lecturers of Islamic studies at Faculty of Quranic & Sunnah Studies and Tamhidi Centre, USIM. From the research, it was found that each teaching method such as lecture session, tutorial and e-learning was conducted with different teaching techniques. Various techniques have been applied accordingly such as brainstorming, discussion, presentation, story-telling, role play, Q&A, quiz, forum, and exercises. Result shows that the teaching techniques applied in teaching Islamic studies for non-Arabic speakers are suitable with the ability and basic knowledge of students. Result also found that the techniques used are significance in teaching process for non-Arabic speaking students in higher education level. Since the students of Faculty of Quranic & Sunnah Studies and Tamhidi Centre have basic knowledge in Arabic language and Islamic studies while they were in high school, research suggests on pursuing these teaching techniques and enhancing them from time to time. Publication علامات الوقف وأثرها في إبراز إعجاز القرآن الكريم دراسة تحليلية في سورتي الكهف ومريم(Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia, 2012)Mohammad Hikmat ShakerThe research aiming at explaining the terms of the scientists of Holy Quran sciences and the reasons behind the differences in stopping and starting marks for each one of Al anbari, Abu Jafer Alnahas, and Aldani, and their applications on the Holy Quran through two Surah Alkahef and Mariam and this subject is really important for relationship with the Holy Quran. After the reading and research I found that stopping and starting marks has the high influence in explaining the rhetorical meaning and the aesthetic for the Holy Quran. In addition to the interpretative side in depth for each Ayah and what is the exact meaning, I found in the same time that there are different reasons behind the scientists differences in stopping and starting terms also there are opposite opinion between them relate to stopping marks in the same Ayah. Some of them say that this position complete stop or good stop which makes the learner hesitate which one is more near to correction. These differences due to scientists of Quran explanation for the need of the World in this type of knowledge especially in this Art which is different to other important sciences and support to know where we stop in the Ayah. The writer of this thesis follow in his methodology the library study which aiming at gathering information and analyze it and establish the results and connect with each other to implement the purposes along with examples, I conclude from this study with important results, especially to know the reasons which lead to the differences between proper scientists of the Holy Quran in regard to stopping terms in one Ayah and some of them refer to grammar, Tafseer, Quran drawing, Alhadeith acceptance and rejection, counting the Ayahs, rhetorical science, context, perfect miracles, and Al-Qraat (different reading of Quran),Although, there are differences in schools and the scientist way of performance but all people agree on the importance of this science, because it an important side in reading Quran which is clear in places where the reader should stand with what agree with perfect Tafseer and the meaning integrity according to what Allah expect of people to understand the Quran meaning. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

So it is the Holy art of knowing how to perform reading the Koran on stopping places that provided for readers to complete the meanings and starting placements which the Quran readers specify and not to be disrupted by the meanings. After reading, and research, found that the science of stopping and starting of the utmost importance and of great benefit. It is deemed aware of stopping and starting of the most important topics in Tajweed, which the reader of the Quran must have knowledge and observance of its reading of the Holy Qur'an forerunners of the first generation of interpreters that the reader of Quran must know the science of stopping and starting, and it has great importance and which have to seek a direct interpretation of the Koran, but to learn this art needs too many sciences," said Abu Bakr bin Mujahid: no one will exactly know when to stop only someone who is knowledgeable of interpretation, stories, and summarize some of them from other. As well as language jurisprudence, stopping and starting a strong knowledge of the interpretation because the interpretation science is looking for God intended meaning. As far as human ability takes it is comprehensive upon understanding the meaning which is the main aim of this research.
