The Holy Quran is a great divine book that God revealed to His Prophet, Muhammad (PBUH), his family and his companions. The Holy Quran has passed more than one thousand four hundred years ago, through the beginning of Surah al-‘Alaq that indicates the value of knowledge and understanding, even if what the Prophet(PBUH)is not a reader and a writer. Thus, it spread and flourished to many people, whether they were Muslims or others, some of them believed in it and some of them disbelieved. If time has passed, then non-Arab Muslims are in dire need to understand the Quran without understanding its language, so non-Arab scholars translated the Quran into various languages, even Malay. And let us note His saying:(Indeed, We have sent it down as an Arabic Quran that you may understand), as it refers to understanding the Holy Quran in Arabic as the most important thing, and that is why the scholars said that it is obligatory. The research aimed to observe some of the contributions of Sheikh Muhammad Said(Sheikh)in translating the Holy Quran in terms of an introductory study. The focus of the research is on the Tafsīr Nūr Al-Iḥsān(TNI), which is a well-known interpretation for many Muslims neither researchers nor seekers of knowledge. Its contribution well established until this moment including the study of the translation of the Holy Quran. The researcher selected qualitative method research to analyze the TN Iand review various sources, examples of which are books and scientific journals, as well as papers presented in conferences. The research found that Shaykh had worked hard in the contributions of the translation of the Holy Quran, and even became a beneficiary review of Malay Muslim readers, especially those who understand the Holy Quran through the method of translation
