Publication Kajian keberkesanan IQRA' sebagai kaedah pembelajaran membaca al-Quran di Semenanjung Malaysia(Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia, 2001) ;Mohd Alwi Yusoff ;Adel M. AbdulAzizAhmad Kamel MohamedKajian ini bertujuan untuk melihat keberkesanan kaedah Iqra' sebagai kaedah pembelajaran membaca al-Qura.n di sekolah-sekolah di Malaysia. Kajian ini dilakukan ke atas 27 buah sekolah di beberapa buah negeri di bawah Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia dan 6 buah sekolah agama swasta.Walaupun kaedah ini telah be jalan selama Iebih 10 tahun di Malaysia dan sebahagian negara Asia Timur akan tetapi sehingga sekarang belum ada lagi kajian tentang keberkesanan kaedah ini terutama pelaksanaannya di sekolah-sekolah kebangsaan di Malaysia.Sepanjang pengarnatan melalui kajian lapangan yang dilakukan di sekolah-sekolah yang dilawati dan melalui temuramah-temuramah dan soal selidik yang diadakan dengan pihakpihak yang terbabit seperti penyelia, guru , pakar dan murid, telah menghasilkan beberapa keputusan. Kaedah ini pada umurnnya memberi kesan baik terhadap pencapaian pengajaran al-Quran di sekolah-sekolah kebangsaan. Ia tidak ada kecacatan yang memberi kesan buruk terhadap pembacaan murid akan tetapi terdapat beberapa perkara yang mana sekiranya dapat diatasi, nescaya akan lebih meningkatkan lagi kebaikannya dari 85 % ke 95%. Kaedah ini dikhususkan pembelajarannya pada bilangan murid di antara 10-1 5 orang murid sahaja atau paling maksimun 20 orang murid tetapi yang berlaku di sekolah-sekolah didapati murid melebihi bilangan yang sepatutnya sehingga 25-40 murid. Masalah ini diatasi dengan membahagikan pelajar kepada beberapa kumpulan yang dipimpin oleh seorang murid yang pandai di bawah pengawasan guru. Buku asal kaedah Iqra' adalah satu jilid yang dicetak di Indonesia yang digunakan juga di beberapa buah sekolah di Malaysia, tidak menggunakan Rasm Uthmani. Masalah ini diatasi dengan cetakan baru di Malaysia yang sepenuhnya menggunakan Rasm Uthman. Secara umumflya kaedah ini memang berkesan dan dapat mencapai objektif yang ditetapkan sekiranya mengikut arahan dan sukatan sebagaimana yang dikehendaki oleh kaedah ini. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Keperluan Dan Prospek Program Tahfiz Dan Qiraat Di Malaysia: Kajian Kes Di Semenanjung Malaysia(Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia, 2003) ;Muhammad Mustaqim Mohd Zarif ;Syed Ahmad Tarmizi Syed Omar ;Khairul Anuar Mohamad ;Mohd Fauzi Mohd AminMohd Alwi YusoffQuranic memorization and Qiraat are considered important parts in the fields of Quranic studies. Their importance could be seen in their roles in preserving and ensuring the continuity and authenticity of the Quranic verses from mistakes and errors. As such, many programs are introduced in this field of study at the level of diploma by certified institutions specializing in that field. In the academic planning of 2003, the Faculty of Quranic and Sunnah Studies, Islamic University College of Malaysia, planned to offer a bachelor's degree in the field of Tahfiz and Qiraat studies. Therefore, it is the aim of this research to get the opinions of all the parties related to this program such as the students, teachers in the field of Tahfiz and Qiraat, future employers as well as members of society. Issues such as the necessity and suitability of the program, the capability of students in following the curriculum, and its prospects in academic advancement as well as future employment are the main points to be dealt with in this research. The methodologies adopted in this research include the methods of field research such as the use of questionnaires distributed to and interviews with selected respondents in parts of peninsular Malaysia. The findings indicate that the present level of Tahfiz and Qiraat studies at the diploma level is sufficient to cater to the needs of society. In general, the need for it to be offered at the bachelor's degree level is outweighed by the inadequacy of employment opportunities for its graduates in the job market and thus, must heavily rely on the support and assistance of the government. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Metod Pengajian Braillle Al-Quran(Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia, 2008) ;Ahmad Kamel Mohamed ;Muhammad Mustaqim Mohd Zarif ;Khairul Anuar MohamadMohd Alwi YusoffThis study focuses on identifying and analyzing various issues and aspects relating to the principles and methods of Quranic Braille and its implementation in Malaysia. It aims to develop a suitable curriculum of study, which can be used in teaching and learning a new course offered by the Faculty of Quranic and Sunnah Studies entitled "Aplikasi Braille dalam Pengajian Quran dan Sunnah" starting from semester 11, 2007/2008 academic session. Apart from library research, this study adopts various field study methods such as interviews, observation, and opinion survey through the use of survey questionnaires as its main instruments for data collection. This is due to the difficulty in obtaining written materials on Quranic Braille, and most of the information is gathered directly from the experts who are involved with it for a long period of time. The findings indicate that in order for a comprehensive treatment of the subject matter, the proposed study curriculum must reflect all the available methods of Quranic Braille transcription in Malaysia in terms of their usage, strengths, limitations, and so forth. At the same time, contemporary study of Quranic Braille must also benefit from the latest technology, especially through the use of a certain apparatus and computer softwares which are available in the market. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Pengajaran Dan Pembelajaran Bahasa Arab Di Sekolah-Sekolah Menengah Di Semenanjung Malaysia - Permasalahan Dan Cara Mengatasinya(Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia, 2003) ;Ismail Abdullah ;Mohd Alwi YusoffMuhamad MudaThe main purpose of this research was to study the teaching and learning of Arabic Language in secondary schools in Peninsular Malaysia -problems &problem solving. The teaching of Arabic Language was compared with the teaching of other languages - espeacially Bahasa Malaysia and English Language, on various issues such as the level of importance, the level of interest and the degree of dzfficulties. The perception of the students towards the Arabic language, the pedagogy and the techniques of teaching the language, the textbook, the reference book & the activity book were also examined. The research utilized a studpcase approach using quistionnaire. The sample consisted of l000 student respondents from 40 Islamic Relegious Schools in Peninsular Malaysia. The study found that - in general - the students considered Arabic Language is among the most important languages Besides English and Bahasa Malaysia and considered one of the most dzfficult subjects if the textbooks, the classroom activities, the syllabus and the learning invironment are not well organized and prepared. However the student respondents are very keen to learn Arabic Language without any hassle. Finally the research proposed certain policies and techniques recommendations towards the teaching and learning of Arabic which could help the students, the teachers and theschools in solving the problems that arose during the teaching and learningprosess in the classroom.
