Publication A Review Of The Discussions On Cultivated Meat From The Islamic Perspective(Science Direct, 2024) ;Mohammad Naqib Hamdan ;Rufaihah Abdul Jalil ;Mohd Anuar Ramli ;Nasiibah Ramli ;Mohd Nor Adzhar Ibrahim ;Muhamad Firdaus Ab Rahman ;Hussein ‘Azeemi Abdullah ThaidiNur Najwa Hanani Abd RahmanSince the introduction of the cultivated meat burger in 2013, numerous discussions have transpired between researchers and consumers, manifesting in various forms such as academic publications, opinions on personal websites and interactions on social platforms. For Muslim consumers, a primary concern revolves around the halal status of cultivated meat, given the pivotal role of adhering to a halal diet as a divine obligation in their lives. Therefore, this article seeks to systematically review the existing literature on cultivated meat from an Islamic perspective as articulated by Muslim scholars, whether these perspectives are issued by an established fatwa organisation or representations of personal views. The sources incorporated into this analysis span from academic publications, newspaper articles, fatwa bodies, personal websites and interviews. Employing thematic analysis, five principal themes were discerned within the discourse among Muslim scholars regarding cultivated meat: (i) the ontological status of cultivated meat, (ii) the status and source of stem cells used in the cultivation process, (iii) the theological implications of cultivated meat production on altering God's creation, (iv) foundational principles for halal cultivated meat production, and (v) the contemporary necessity of cultivated meat from the perspective of al-maqasid al-shariah. It is duly recommended that international fatwa organisations such as the International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA) engage in discussions and deliberations on this matter of growing significance within the food industry. The fatwas and resolutions issued by IIFA are frequently cited as the most recognised authority in many Islamic countries. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Publication Critical Analysis Of Al-munabbihāt In Hadith Literature Based On The Context Of Hadith Writing Methods(Research and Scientific Innovation Society (RSIS), 2024) ;Mohd Nor Adzhar Ibrahim ;Rusni Mohamad ;Mohd Solleh Ab RazakKhairulnazrin NasirAl-Munabbihāt is a renowned work attributed to Ibn Ḥajar al-‘Asqalānī. This study aims to analyze the credibility of attributing the book al-Munabbihāt to Ibn Ḥajar al-‘Asqalānī from the perspective of hadith writing methods. The research employs a qualitative library research method through content analysis design. The analysis specification is conducted by comparing the hadith writing methods of this book with the popular hadith book by Ibn Ḥajar al-‘Asqalānī titled Bulūgh al-Marām. The findings indicate various issues related to the hadith writing methods, such as not clarifying the highest narrator’s name, narrated with ṣīghah al-tamrīḍ, not stating the hadith sources, lacking commentary and explanation on the hadith status, and the hadith not being found in Bulūgh al-Marām despite being in the same genre. Additionally, the hadith presented are mixed with wise sayings (ḥukamā’). This clearly justifies questioning the authenticity of attributing this work to Ibn Ḥajar al-‘Asqalānī. Therefore, it is suggested that this work should no longer be attributed to him to preserve the sustainability of hadith literature, as this attribution does not reflect the esteemed reputation of Ibn Ḥajar al- ‘Asqalānī, who is revered as a great figure in the field of hadith and would undoubtedly tarnish his reputation as Amīr al-Mu’minīn fi al-Ḥadīth. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

- Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Genealogy Of The Prophet: Reassessing Ibn Saʿd’s Qur’anic Reference In Sira Nabawiyya(International Journal of Religion, 2024) ;Ahmad Sanusi Azmi ;Norazmi Anas ;Amran Abdul Halim ;Mohd Nor Adzhar IbrahimKhairul Aiman Wan MokhtarGenealogy plays a crucial role in historiography. An account of genealogy serves as an instrument to legalize kinship in the Arab tribal world. One of the most important aspects in understanding the history of Prophet Muḥammad’s life (the Sīra Nabawiyya) is his genealogy. It is not an exaggeration to say that almost all the biographies of Muḥammad commence their discussion by introducing his lineage, including Ibn Sa’d, one of the prominent figures in Islamic historiography. The present study seeks to explore Ibn Saʿd’s hermeneutical response to and understanding of Qur’ānic reference to the Prophet’s genealogy. It will also analyse for what specific reasons these understandings were developed in its socio-religious contexts. The study is qualitative in nature and is one in which the researcher will employ both descriptive and source-critical approaches. The study in its findings argues for the appropriateness of using 26:219 as reference to the Prophet’s genealogy. Its analysis proposes that it was the influence of his master that leads Ibn Sa’d to invent the connection between the Prophet’s genealogy and the Qur’ān. Furthermore, his approach to ‘Qur’ānise’ the nature of the narrative appears to be another reason that influence Ibn Saʿd to create such connection. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Konsep Hadith Mawdu‘i Menurut Perspektif Pengkaji Hadith Kontemporari: Antara Dirasah Al-Mawdu‘Iyyah min Al-Hadith dan Syarh Al-Mawdu‘I li Al-Hadith(USIM Press, 2020-06) ;Mohd Nor Adzhar IbrahimRoshimah ShamsudinThe hadith mawdu’i (thematic hadith) terminology is widely used in contemporary hadith discourse. However, there are confusions in understanding its true concept since several other terms are associated with it namely dirasah al-mawdhu‘iyyah min al-hadith (thematic analysis based on hadith) and sharh al-mawdhu‘i li al-hadith (thematic explanation based on hadith). As such, the purpose of this paper is to study difference opinions amongst the contemporary hadith scholars in comprehending the concept of thematic hadith that gives rise to various definition and concepts. Literature review method based on qualitative research through content analysis design were fully engaged in the data collection as well as data analysis processes. All the definitions and concept of thematic hadith presented by the contemporary hadith scholars in their academic writings were gathered and analyzed to produce a comprehensive depiction. Based on the existing definitions, the findings of this study illustrate that the present-day thematic hadith researchers’ conceptions are split into two camps. The first is the group that deduces thematic hadith as a study upon collection of hadith or upon one particular hadith with a specific theme while the second group infers thematic hadith as thematic lectures. The findings also demonstrate that the difference in understanding thematic hadith between the two groups are from the guidelines and steps in conducting a research. This is the reason why dirasah al-mawdhu‘iyyah min al-hadith is focused on the technical aspect of the initial hadith research such as takhrij (retrieval of hadith) or identifying mukhtalif (contradictions) and so on. While sharh al-mawdhu‘i li al-hadith concentrates on constructive research in depicting a clear picture of the themes that contained in the hadith. Accordingly, the integration between dirasah al-mawdhu‘iyyah min al-hadith and sharh al-mawdhu‘i li al-hadith would produce a holistic research on thematic hadith. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Principles Of Prophetic Medicine According To Mahmud Nazhim Al-nasimi(INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF RELIGION, 2024); ;Mohd Nor Adzhar Ibrahim ;Muhammad Fawwaz Muhammad Yusof ;Mohd Zahir Abdul RahmanNorazmi AnasProphetic medicine describes various methods of treatment and prevention of diseases recommended by the Prophet SAW. The Prophet was seen suggesting the use of certain natural ingredients such as honey, tamar and al-habbah al-sauda' to the his companions as a solution to their health problems. Recently, this aspect of holiness that accompanies the Prophet's words has been exploited by some parties with the aim of promoting their products that contain the ingredients mentioned in the hadith. Some traders who sell these ingredients directly are also seen not to be left behind in publicizing the business with the same modus operandi. Not only that, some of the generality of the hadith phrases of the Prophet (SAW) are also used arbitrarily to gain the interest of the buyers without taking the understanding of Islamic scholars and modern medical experts as a backup in interacting with the relevant hadiths. The objective of this article is to highlight the principles of prophetic medicine as espoused by Mahmud Nazhim al-Nasimi in his work "Al-Tibb al-Nabawi wa al-'Ilm al- Hadith". The analysis is done based on deductive approach and comparison of the principles he has proposed with the comments of Islamic scholars in the works of hadith compilations. The results of the study found that the principles of prophetic medicine stated by al-Nasimi such as the incorporation of elements of revelation and ijtihad in prophetic medicine were found to be in line with the ideas that had been stated by some early Islamic scholars.
