Publication An Analysis Of Al-baya' Bithaman Ajil Contract In Islamic Financing Products: A Case Study In Brunei(Hampstead Psychological Associates, 2020) ;Mohd Rizal Muwazir ;Hajah Sabariah Haji Hassan ;Noradilah Abdul Hadi ;Sri WidyastutiMohammad SaidThe purpose of this study is to analyse factors influencing the application of the al-bay’ bithaman ajil (BBA) contract which is still dominating financing instruments in Islamic financial institution in Brunei Darussalam (Brunei). This study employs case study research design which entirely concentrates on qualitative analysis from interview technique as a primary data collection method. There were 10 respondents selected in this study working in Tabung Amanah Islam Brunei (TAIB). The results suggest that respondents were very optimistic and hold positive ideas towards the implementation of other forms of Shariah contracts in Islamic financial products, which have now been introduced in other countries. The article provides valuable contribution to the development of Islamic finance in Brunei. Following the controversy surrounding the use of BBA contract in other countries, the result of this study will offer Islamic financial institutions and regulators in Brunei positive development in the effort to diversify Islamic financing products and services which are universally accepted according to current demands. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Justeru, pemain industri yang terlibat perlu aktif dalam meneroka peluang yang tersedia terutamanya dalam penggunaan aplikasi digital yang optimum. Antara faktor utama perkembangan sektor ini ialah analisis populasi generasi milenium dan Generasi Z, serta teknologi yang akan meningkatkan akses kepada maklumat pelancongan. Oleh itu, kajian ini akan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif bagi mendapatkan maklumat berkenaan penggunaan pemasaran digital di kalangan penyedia pelancongan halal serta pelancong Muslim di Malaysia. The competitive portfolio of services suggest banking institutions to make a significant effort to improve their service quality. This article discusses concepts of customer satisfaction and service quality within banking industry to draw attention to some conceptual and application challenges for Islamic banking institutions. This article is based on a critical review of literature in this area. This paper highlights the need for sufficient information regarding customer’s expectation and satisfaction in order for banking institutions to sustain in the market. The concept of halal is not only limited to food consumption, but also covers halal tourism which consists of halal hotels, halal transport (airlines), halal restaurants, halal tour packages and halal finance. Majority of tourists got information through travel websites, social media, blogs, travel agencies and advertising. This signifies the importance of digital marketing as the internet has changed the way people communicating and interacting with each other. This study aims to explore the concept of digital marketing and its potential in enhancing marketing strategies for halal tourism provider based on critical review of literature. Publication Islamic banking selection criteria: a multi-ethnic perspective(Emerald Group Publishing Ltd., 2020) ;Noradilah Binti Abdul Hadi ;Mohd Rizal Muwazir ;Faculty of Economics and Muamalat ;Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM)University of Malaya (UM)Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to examine selection factors among multi-ethnic customers in Malaysian Islamic banking industry. The information is important to reinforce the argument that ethnicity could become significant factor in determining customer behaviour. Design/methodology/approach: This study uses quantitative approach by using questionnaire (Likert scale) to measure respondents ranking of 25 selection factors. A total of 272 valid responses were generated from 450 questionnaires distributed, with 60.4% response rate. The methods of analysis used are descriptive analysis, factor analysis and Kruskal–Wallis test. Findings: The findings revealed five selection factors (religious and ethical, services and convenience, service quality and benefit, external and operational and charges), with religious and ethical factor as the most important criteria for Malay customers. As for Chinese and Indian customers, they chose services and convenience factor. Originality/value: This study is conducted to gain new insights on the perception of multi-ethnic banking customers in Malaysia towards Islamic banks and how cultural differences might affect their decisions. The findings are important for further development of the Islamic banking industry in Malaysia considering ethnicity has a major impact on the society. The acknowledgement of similarities and differences between the ethnic groups could strengthen the relationship with the Islamic banking customers. Furthermore, incorporation of ethnicity factor in bank’s marketing strategies is important to secure competitive advantage particularly in dual banking system such as in Malaysia. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Motivation for CSR Practices: Evidence from Financial Services Industry(Global Academic Excellence, 2017) ;Mohd Rizal MuwazirNoradilah Abdul HadiThey could be a variety of motivations for business corporations to voluntarily engage in CSR activities. The existing literature indicates that successful and profitable corporations spent significant amount of money to actively participate in social and philanthropic programmes. Therefore, this article seeks to explore the motivations behind CSR engagement by financial services industry in Malaysia. A quantitative survey design was adopted to gather primary data from senior managers of the corporations. A total of 376 responses were collected and analysed in this study. The result shows that financial industry in Malaysia placed non-economic element as the main motive for their involvement in CSR practices. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

This study uses a qualitative study design. Generally, the findings show that respondents have a good knowledge base on the concepts and controversial issues related to the BBA contract.
