This research marked Step (i) out of ADDIE five steps of academic module development. It was meant to explore Arabic learning needs for UAM in order to identify the major aspects of the proposed EALM development. The study used a descriptive method with a purposive UAM sample size (n=40). The valid and reliable questionnaire of 5 Likert scales was used and the total reliability coefficient of which was ( r )=.984 for 128 items. The major results showed that UAM needed Arabic language for nine major purposes including religious, social, communication, education, business, self-satisfaction, diplomatic, security, and legal purposes. The general implication of the findings confirmed that UAM Arabic weakness was a reflection of weaknesses in their Arabic curriculum. The researchers recommended to consider thise finding in the process of building EALM for UAM with samples of lessons using elementary Arabic grammar, morphology, and Common Arabic Vocabularies (CAV)”. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Sidek ;Sulaiman Ismail ;Noor Saazai Mat Said ;Fariza Puteh Behak ;Hazleena Baharun ;Sulhah Ramli ;Mohd Aizuddin Abd Aziz ;Noor Azizi IsmailSuraini Mat AliWithin the context of the Islamic religion, having Taqwa or the traits of righteousness is imperative because Taqwa reflects the level of a Muslim's faith. Hence, the purpose of the present study was to identify the traits of Takwa in surah Al-Baqara in the Holy Quran. The data for this study were obtained from verses in surah Al-Baqara. Purposive sampling was used to select the verses that contain the traits of Taqwa using an established tafseer (Quranic interpretation) in the Qurainic field as a guideline in marking the Taqwa traits in sampling the verses. Two experts in the field of Quranic tafseer validated the traits of Taqwa extracted from each selected verse. The data were analyzed using manifest and latent content analyses. The findings reveal 10 categories of traits of Taqwa which are tawheed, do good to others, performing solah, paying of zakat, honouring rights, repentance, doing good deeds, righteous communication, being grateful, being sincere, and recognition of the absoluteness of Allah's sovereignty. Sequential emphasis-based analysis was used to tabulate the reiteration of each trait of Taqwa in order to find out the trait that is most frequently emphasized in the form of reiteration. Among the Taqwa category traits, the major emphasis is on tawheed or believing the oneness of Allah. The findings help in enhancing the understanding and the meta-framework of the traits of Taqwa, which is particularly useful for non-scholarly Muslims in strengthening their Islamic faith in accordance to what is commanded in the Holy Quran. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Ia berperanan untuk menyebarluas ilmu agama serta membentuk keperibadian Muslim yang sempurna. Pendidikan Islam yang diterapkan dalam pengajian tersebut adalah salah satu saluran terpenting untuk membentuk perwatakan dan pemikiran selari dengan nilai-nilai Islam. Kurangnya pemahaman kepada didikan Islam akan mendorong seseorang kepada kelakuan yang bertentangan daripada agama Islam. Maka, tujuan kajian ini adalah untuk mengenal pasti cabaran yang dihadapi oleh institusi pendidikan pondok selain mengkaji impak pelajar yang mengikuti sistem pendidikan pondok terhadap diri, rakan sebaya dan masyarakat. Kajian ini menggunakan kaedah kualitatif dan kuantitatif iaitu melalui analisis dokumen serta temu bual menerusi perbincangan meja bulat yang telah diadakan bersama pihak berkepentingan dan edaran borang soal selidik. Seramai 233 responden yang terlibat telah dipilih di beberapa buah Pondok di Semenanjung Malaysia. Dapatan menunjukkan terdapat tiga faktor utama yang menjadi cabaran kepada perkembangan pondok masa kini iaitu kurikulum, pengurusan dan pengiktirafan pengajian pondok. Hasil kajian turut mendapati, pelajar mengakui bahawa sistem pendidikan ini memberi impak positif kepada diri mereka (min 4.59). Mereka turut mengakui sistem pendidikan ini memberi manfaat kepada keluarga dan persekitaran mereka. Kesimpulannya, sistem pendidikan pondok berupaya untuk membentuk sahsiah pelajar kearah yang lebih baik dan menghasilkan pelajar yang berkualiti. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Perubahan sistem pendidikan PdPC secara bersemuka kepada Pengajaran dan Pembelajaran di Rumah (PdPR) mengubah cara pembelajaran di Malaysia sama ada di peringkat sekolah rendah, menengah mahupun institusi-institusi pengajian tinggi. Penggunaan buku teks bercetak semasa PdPC telah berubah kepada penggunaan buku teks digital semasa PdPR. Tujuan kajian ini adalah untuk mengenalpasti cabaran penggunaan buku teks digital Pendidikan Islam Kurikulum Standard Sekolah Rendah (KSSR) sewaktu PdPR dan mencadangkan penyelesaian untuk mengatasi cabaran-cabaran tersebut. Kajian ini berbentuk kualitatif dengan memperolehi data melalui temu bual dan analisis dokumen. Kajian mendapati bahawa cabaran-cabaran dalam PdPR wujud dari aspek guru, murid dan bahan. Beberapa cara penyelesaian telah dicadangkan untuk mengatasi cabaran-cabaran ini. Kesimpulannya ialah buku teks masih tetap menjadi sumber utama dalam sesi PdPC walaupun dijalankan secara atas talian. The paper is descriptive and analytical in nature. It describes the conventional design of ALC proceeded by the detailed functional analyses for UAB. The focus is centered on two major ALC design components: ALC linguistic design and ALC technical design. On one hand, the paper analyses the two major aims of ALC linguistic design including the deliberate selection of lexical content, grammatical and morphological rules. On another hand, the paper analyses the three Major Aims of ALC technical design including: deciding on ALC format, developing ALC instructional strategy and developing ALC evaluation strategies. The analysis of ALC development format involves the guide to expand ALC synonyms and antonyms using Arabic derivative morphology ADM. The format design also involves planning the best modes of how to impart the ALC knowledge to UAB audience. Whereas the analysis of ALC instructional strategy development touched ALC theoretical models, ALC instructional framework, and ALC instructional activities. Finally, the paper analyses the ALC evaluation strategies which includes designing ALC learning outcomes, teaching and learning experiences as well as ALC assessment strategies. This study presents the debate of scholars regarding the distribution of zakat to strengthen the education of asnaf and its implementation in Malaysia. This study was conducted using content analysis methods through deductive, inductive, and comparative methods. This study also aimed to explore the factors that influence the practise of Islamic education among Muslim students in SJKC. The quantitative techniques were used in this study through the uses of a questionnaire instrument, which was then analysed using the SPSS version.The study found that syahadah is the most commonly practised component among Muslim students at SJKC. The study also reveals that the Sirah is the most popular topic and the Islamic education teacher’s encouragement is the main factor that influences the practise of Muslim students on the subject of teachers and students and raises awareness of the value of Islamic Education subjects. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

The growth of schools and madrasah administered by the government as well as private has reduced the development of the pondok in the early 90s. However, at present, pondok studies are burgeoning due to the high demand from the community. Although the pondok institution can be regarded as pioneers in instituting Islamic education, survey that has been conducted finds that there is no clear, transparent coordination in the curriculum or studies provided. This paper discusses some aspects of education in pondok institutions, particularly on the challenges and impediments faced by the pondok administrators from the point of view of officials in the Islamic Religious Department and the State Islamic Religious Council, who are invited during a roundtable discussion. Group interviews were conducted. The interview data were recorded, transcribed and analyzed thematically using ATLAS ti software. The study reveals that studies concerning pondok instutions are increasingly gaining acceptance from local communities. In addition, there are three main factors that support the development of the present pondok education which are the curriculum, finance and management of the pondok study itself. By focusing on issues and challenges surrounding pondok education, this study is a start to a beginning of a worthwhile and meaningful discussion of what it means to develop pondok institution and teach Islamic education within Malaysian context. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

The elementary Arabic learning module (EALM) was developed for UAM using ADDIE procedures to mitigate the said problem. This research evaluated EALM usability for UAM. The purposive sample of UAM (n=44) and a random sample of teachers (n=5) were used. UAM student and teacher questionnaires were also used. The descriptive statistics using SPSS 20 was employed to describe EALM usability data. The finding yielded positively high teachers' and students’ ratings in favor of all EALM usability evaluation constructs. The problem is that current training programs for school specialists are insufficient to prepare and qualify specialists to carry out their tasks. In the study carried out by the Department of Educational Activities at the Ministry of Education, there are many difficulties faced by teachers and students that relate to educational activities, the most important of which is the lack of specialized training programs for supervisors of school activities. The researcher followed the descriptive approach which depends on describing the phenomenon as it exists in reality and expressing it quantitatively. The study population consists of (990) specialists, and the sample of the study (355) specialists and specialists. The questionnaire consisted of (5) axes including (50) paragraphs. The findings revealed that: the training needs for the areas of personal skills of work, organization and evaluation came within the degree of great need, and the special areas of planning, follow-up and implementation within the intermediate requirement. The results indicated that (44) out of (50) paragraphs represent the knowledge and skills that need to be trained by school activities specialists. The researcher recommended the need to pay attention to the training of school activities specialists, and the specialists of activities to develop themselves self. And involve school activities specialists in identifying their training needs.
