Publication The Motivation Factors Of Quantity Surveyors In Malaysia(Indian Society for Health and Advanced Research, 2017) ;Nur Qamarina SharomSiti Sarah HermanThe construction industry is significantly influenced by the competitive environment, which has in turn affected the economy and quality of life. Inevitably, this has also changed the way people work in order to sustain themselves. Motivation is the key factor that influences people to do better by initiating action into achieving goal(s), resulting in greater performance. This paper presents a research on the motivation factors of quantity surveyors in different types of organisations. Seventy one questionnaires were received and analysed statistically using Kruskal-Wallis. The results suggest that the motivation factors of quantity surveyors in the construction industry do not differ based on the different types of organisations. Overall, working conditions, good teamwork, and good facilities/ resources at the workplace are among the top motivation factors of the quantity surveyors. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Person-organization Fit And Employee Outcomes: A Study Among Academicians In Malaysia(Universal Publishers - Boca Raton, Florida, USA, 2024) ;Nur Qamarina SharomIntan Fatimah AnwarPurpose: This study aims to investigate the effects of person-organization fit (P-O fit) on the employee outcomes (in-role performance and organizational citizenship behaviour) in Malaysian higher education institutions. Design/methodology/approach: This study employed a convenience sample. Personally administered questionnaires received through multi-source ratings from 295 academicians and their supervisors, which represents 53% response rate. Exploratory factor analysis was conducted, followed by confirmatory factor analysis. Structural equation model was the implemented to test the relationships among all variables. Findings: The results showed no relationship between P-O fit and in-role performance and no relationship between P-O fit and OCB. Research limitations/implications: This study employed the cross-sectional design instead of longitudinal design. The crosssectional data limits the extent to which causality can be inferred from the results, which further restricts the acquisition of on the accurate directions of the relationships between the variables of the study. Practical implications: The findings of the present study adds a new argument which states that there is no relationship between P-O Fit and in-role performance and OCB. However, with the unexpected result of these relationships has made this study suggested that future research endeavors should be replicated in different context and samples. Originality/value: The study addresses there is no relationships between P-O fit and employee outcomes (in-role performance and OCB). - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication The Potential Of Supportive Remedial Environment For Stroke Recovery Facilities(Academic Inspired Network (AIN), 2022) ;Siti Sarah binti Herman ;Lee Yee Wen ;Nur Qamarina SharomAzreen Jihan Che Mohd HashimStroke recovery facilities are significant segment in the general consideration of stroke patients. The nature of stroke is seen as an ailment that causes an entire scope of physical, mental and emotional unsettling influences. Due to this, recovery facilities design should consider the social mental needs of the stroke survivors other than centering the recuperation of their physical capacities. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the potential of supportive remedial environment as a recuperating apparatus to support better passionate and physical wellbeing recuperation of stroke survivors. A mixed methodology was adapted, which included questionnaire surveys and a semi-structured interview with the three rehabilitation health professionals and thirty respondents who are either the patients or relatives of the patients who received treatment at the rehabilitation centre. The semi-structured interviews were analysed using the content analysis method. Meanwhile, the questionnaire surveys were analysed using descriptive analysis. This study has identified that the major limitations of the current rehabilitation facilities were the absence of inpatient facilities, lack of social spaces as well as insufficient of space for various activities conducted. Due to this, such issues need an attention to be solved by the architects in designing the area with healing environment, as well as the government as a funder to smoothen the process of rejuvenating the healing centre. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Predictor Of Intention In Purchasing Halal Skin Care Products Among User And Non-user(Zes Rokman Resources, 2019) ;Azreen Jihan Che Mohd Hashim ;Rosidah Musa ;Nur Shuhada Kamarudin ;Junaidah Abu Seman ;Muhamad Azrin NazriNur Qamarina SharomThis research has shed new light on better understanding of the existing knowledge by incorporating relevant constructs as the predictors of intention such as attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavior control in a Halal skin care product (compliance with the Muslim Shariah requirement) context, among the users and non-users. The predictors of intention demonstrate there have a positive significant effect in influencing user and non-users to intention to purchase and continue to purchase Halal skin care products, the results delineate that subjective norm has a direct effect on intention and continue purchasing among users and non-users. While, perceived behaviour control has a positive significant effect on intention to purchase and continue to purchase for both users and non-users. Lastly, the study depicted that Attitude has a positive significance on continue/intention to purchase halal skin care products for users and non-users Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was utilized to test the hypothesized relationships among the constructs, as postulated in the research model. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

However, certain issues have risen up when each of the preschools offer different types of benefits such as curriculum, ambiance, quality of teachers and facilities that may lead to non-standardised quality of education. This study aims to explore the level of quality of public preschools in Malaysia from parents' perspectives. In Malaysia, there are four different government agencies providing the education that is (1) Jabatan Kemajuan Masyarakat or Community Development Department (local acronym is KEMAS) under Ministry of Rural and Regional Development, (2) Jabatan Perpaduan Negara or National Unity Department (local acronym is PERPADUAN) under the Ministry of National Unity and Social Integration, (3) Ministry of Education and (4) State Islamic Religion Department. Twelve parents who enrolled their children in public preschools were interviewed and the data were analyzed through content analysis. The result shows there are five main factors that constitute the quality of public preschool education in Malaysia, namely (1) school values, (2) school atmosphere, (3) health and wellbeing, (4) teachers and (5) facilities. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
