Publication Analysis of Antimicrobial Compound in Ziziphus Mauritiana Extract using Attenuated Total Reflection-Fourier Transform Infrared (ATR-FTIR)(Penerbit USIM, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia, 2020-12-25) ;Khairina Idris ;Nurhanini Nahlul Muna Yusof ;Tg Ainul Farha Tg Abdul Rahman ;Liyana Amalina AdnanA’wani Aziz NurdalilaThe usage of herbal medicinal is widely used among society today in daily lives. Ziziphus mauritiana locally known as Bidara belonging to family Rhamnaceae is a herbal plant that believed originated from Indo-Malaysian region of South-East Asia. It is commonly known for its various added values in term of pharmacological such as antioxidants and antimicrobial. To prove its efficacy, antimicrobial compound analysis of Ziziphus mauritiana leaf extract was performed using Attenuated total reflection-fourier transform infrared (ATR-FTIR). The spectrum and wavelength obtained can be used to identify the functional group and thus, the antimicrobial compound present in the plant. A liquid-liquid extraction had been carried out to obtain the extract of Ziziphus mauritiana leaf sample and rotary evaporator is used to remove the solvent of ethyl acetate. Based on this study, Ziziphus mauritiana leaves do have antimicrobial compounds such as eugenol and vanillin which are one of the antimicrobial agents. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Publication Phylogenetic Analysis to Goat's Milk using MEGA X : Reflection from Quran(Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia, 2021-02-18) ;Hirzi Irsyad Hipni ;Khairina Idris ;Nurhanini Nahlul Muna Yusof ;Nurdalila A'wani Abd AzizTg Ainul Farha Tg Abdul RahmanGoat’s milk benefits humans by providing nutrients like protein, calcium, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals. In the holy Quran, Goat’s milk is mentioned 5 times indicating its importance to humans and nature. Due to the study of mislabelling of dairy products globally, the authenticity and traceability of commercialised milk are often questioned among the public. In the case of goat milk products, clear and accurate labelling is recommended with respect to the geographical origin of the products and the substances used in the products. This is to make sure that the correct decisions can be made by consumers. To investigate the phylogenetic relationship in this analysis, DNA sequence data and mitochondrial nucleotide sequences of raw (self-milking) and commercialised goat milk (Capra aegagrus hircus) from each state of Malaysia were used. For the reconstruction of the phylogenetic tree, Neighbour-Joining (NJ), Maximum Parsimony (MP) and Molecular Evolution were used. Following the manufacturer's (Promega, USA) protocol description, genomic DNA was isolated using the Wizard® Genomic DNA Purification Kit. By using Clustal X, multiple sequence alignment was performed. In addition, qualitative methodology of content analysis is also carried out. The congruent findings of the trees for Capra aegagrus hircus indicate that the commercialised samples of goat's milk are considered to be authentic based on the phylogenetic tree of our study. To our knowledge, there is still no recent study on the validity of goat milk in Malaysia, and this understanding will play an important role in educating customers about the authenticity of goods. Interestingly, Islamic perspectives are also studied for the benefits of society especially Muslims, hence increasing the development of integration of Naqli and Aqli knowledge. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Spectroscopy Analysis of Antimicrobial Compound in Centella Asiatica Extract(Penerbit USIM, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia, 2020-12-25) ;Nurhanini Nahlul Muna Yusof ;Khairina Idris ;Tg Ainul Farha Tg Abdul Rahman ;Liyana Amalina AdnanA’wani Aziz NurdalilaThe usage of herbal medicinal is still the widespread among society today in their daily lives. This is mostly due to the tradition of our ancestors who really relied on traditional medicine to cure diseases and improve their intelligence. Next, herbal plants are said to have more and better nutrients and nourishment than modern medicine. This is because the compound have been mixed with the use of other chemicals to produce medicines. Centella asiatica (pegaga) is an herbal plant that is commonly heard about its benefits both internally and externally. However, scientific research is needed to prove its benefits. Thus, the society do not clarified much on the actual nutrients thoroughly. Besides that, Centella asiatica is generally known to come from the Apiaceae family and this plant is an important plant with a wide range of traditional, medicinal and therapeutic values. This plant has it own speciality or strong point in which it is choosen to be mentioned in the Quran. To prove its efficacy, a spectroscopy analysis of Centella asiatica extract was performed using ATR-FTIR. The use of Centella asiatica samples has also been diversified into leaf part and stem part. This is to compare the nutrient content in the leaves. The results from this research is that Centella asiatica leaves do have antimicrobial compound. Therefore, the usage of Centella asiatica leaves in society needs to be expanded so that its nutrients can be utilized to the maximum for the benefit of the people and improvement to the national economy - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Publication Ziziphus mauritiana in Bathing Deceased: Reflection from Hadith Sahih Al-Bukhari 1253, Book 23, Hadith 344(Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia, 2021-02-18) ;Khairina Idris ;Nurhanini Nahlul Muna Yusof ;Hirzi Irsyad Hipni ;Tg Ainul Farha Tg Abdul RahmanA’wani Aziz NurdalilaIn the current modernisation of the world, various medicines produced by modern technologies have exist to treat diseases in society. This has resulted in less traditional medicine being the focus of our society. However, traditional medicine which is usually made from plants has many hidden nutrients that have not been studied more thoroughly. Ziziphus mauritiana is one of the valuable plants. Ziziphus mauritiana belonging to family Rhamnaceae or commonly called as bidara or sidr in Arabic has been mentioned two times in Quran and four times in Hadith. According to these Hadith, Ziziphus mauritiana leaves is used frequently in bathing such as to bath deceased or as woman bathing agent. To determine either the uses of Ziziphus mauritiana in bathing deceased is just to seek barakah in Islam (tabarruk) or it has its own scientifically justification in term of antimicrobial, qualitative methodology of content analysis and experimental method are carried out. From previous studies, water of Ziziphus mauritiana is believed to easier the shrouding process and prevent it from rapidly smelling. Moreover, some studies found stated the uses of this plant is only a tabarruk. Scientifically studies stated that it is well-known for its antimicrobial and antioxidant properties. However, from both method used in this study, it is proven that the uses of Ziziphus mauritiana in bathing deceased is not just to seek barakah in Islam (tabarruk) as this plant has antimicrobial properties to prevent the deceased from instant decay.
