Publication The Application of Nominal Group Technique (NGT) in Evaluating the Usability of E-learning(Universiti Malaysia Kelantan, 2021) ;Amani Binti Nawi ;Nurkhamimi Bin ZainuddinLubna Binti Abd RahmanThe Nominal Group Technique (NGT) is a structured process to gather information from a group for their priority setting. This technique is very useful and effective in generating a large number of new ideas to solve problems specifically in e-learning courses. The researchers have conducted this technique in the final phase of their research about the development of web-based activities in learning Arabic collocation and identify the usability of that application. Therefore, this article has two purposes: (1) discussing what Modified NGT is and how to implement it as evaluation tool in e-learning application; and (2) describing the findings of usability evaluation using this technique by providing qualitative data generated during a workshop led by the researchers. This study contributes detail procedures to the researchers and learning material designers by drawing a proposed rule for evaluating educational products in terms of their usability. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication An Insight Into Motivational Factors Of Integrating Edu-tech In Learning Arabic During Covid-19 Outbreak(USIM, 2021-12) ;Nurkhamimi Bin Zainuddin ;Abdel Rahman Ibrahim Suleiman IsliehMuhammad Sabri SahrirThe employment of instructional technology in teaching and learning has becoming a crucial requirement among teachers and educators especially in the 21st century education. Moreover, the current global emergence situation of COVID-19 pandemic has been forcing educators towards using various online platforms and technologies In Malaysia, universities have scrambled to move the program to an electronic platform to tackle the proliferation of COVID-19 under the national Movement Control Order (MCO). Malaysia’s 20 public universities including Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia was to encourage or mandate online learning for various major languages including Arabic. During this difficult period, Arabic lecturers might need more training to allow them to have an in-depth understanding of how technology can improve learning and motivate their students to learn. The researchers employed responsive semi-structured interviews, which allowed the respondents to share about their teaching practices and how technology motivated them to be more creative in their teaching practices during MCO. The result indicates that online learning can be a solution for the Arabic language educators and practitioners to share their knowledge by using e-Learning or other platforms as education needs to be conducted during MCO. One of the online learning benefits is lecturers become motivated and students become active when they learn using online learning as they are the ones who take responsibility for their learning. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication الدافعية وعمليات العلم لدى طلبة الكيميإ للصف لحادي عشر: دراسة تحليلية في محافظة الباطنة شمال بسلطنة عمان(OCERINT International Organization Center of Academic Research, 2019) ;Sakina Hassan Hamed ALajmi ;Kirembwe Rashid Abdul HamedNurkhamimi Bin ZainuddinThis quantitative study aims to discuss the motivation and level of science operations among chemistry students in the 11th grade in Al Batinah Governorate, north of the Sultanate of Oman. Where the researcher noted a weakness in the ability of students to perform practical tests, because of the weakness of the student in the basic concepts of science operations. The presence of this vulnerability was confirmed after a survey conducted by the science experiments test. Results were below the educational level (60%). This study adopted the descriptive quantitative approach; the study sample consisted of (13) teachers and teachers of chemistry and (28) students. The tools of the study included three measures: a measure of student motivation towards learning, which will be of three axes: the axis of tendencies and trends, the axis of challenge, and the axis of curiosity. The scale of science operations consists of: prediction, conclusion and complementary science skills, such as: the skill of interpretation and experimentation, the control of variables, and the imposition of hypotheses. And a questionnaire for teachers on the motivation of students and the level of science operations. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication مدى تفعيل استراتيجيات التقويم الواقعي بمرحلة التعليم الأساسية في المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية(An-Najah National University, 2019) ;Mohammad Alradi ;Hassan BasriNurkhamimi Bin ZainuddinThe aim of this study is to determine the extent of the activation of the authentic assessment in the elementary stage in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and to identify the differences in teachers’ degree of practicing for the authentic assessment according to the variables (gender, experience, qualification and training courses). In order to achieve this goal, a questionnaire has been designed for teachers, where this scale includes five main areas, namely: self-revision strategy, performance-based assessment strategy, communication strategy, pen and paper strategy and the student file strategy. The results of the study showed that the domains or areas of the measure have a positive role in the development of their attitudes towards authentic assessment, where the general mean of the scale was (2.87), and it is intermediate. The results also showed there are statistically significant differences in teachers’ degree of activation of realistic assessment strategies which are attributable to the gender variable and for the benefit of females as well as the specialization variable and in favor of scientific specialization. There is too an absence of statistically significant differences which was due to the variables of scientific qualification and training courses. One of the most important recommendations was to change the public perception of the role of the teacher from being only a conveyer of information to be a guider and facilitator of the learning environment and a designer for educational situations.
