Publication Coordinating Of Waqf, Wasiyyah And Faraid In Islamic Wealth Distribution(AENSI Publications, 2015) ;Muhammad Ridhwan Ab. AzizNurul Izzati NordinLack of efficiency in administration as well as attitude of the legal heirs are the factors that cause frozen assets. It is estimated that RM 66.6 billion of the property could not be distributed to the legal heirs due to several reasons. The majority owner of those assets are Muslims. Even though estate management planning in Islam is divided into two, during the lifetime and after the death of owner property, still there is occurrence of the problem. In order to solve this issue, people should be exposed to the way of distribution of property including before and after the death. Thus, the objective of this paper is to investigate on coordinating of waqf, wasiyyah and faraid in Islamic wealth distribution among Malaysian Muslims. The methodology of research in this paper is through quantitative research based on 127 selected respondents in Malaysia. As a results of this study, basically the respondents agreed that by coordinating of waqf, wasiyyah and faraid could ease burden of the owner and heirs as well as could reduce issues of frozen assets to the lowest level. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Perception Of B40 Income Group Regarding Waqf, Wasiyyah And Faraid Planning In Wealth Distribution(Malaysian Financial Planning Council, 2016) ;Muhammad Ridhwan Ab. Aziz ;Mohammad Noorizzuddin Nooh ;Khairil Faizal Khairi ;Fuadah JohariNurul Izzati NordinThe planning of wealth distribution during an individual’s lifetime is an aspect that must be taken seriously by all Muslims. Delays and failures in the distribution of wealth can create negative implications from the legal, economic, religious and social standpoints. In fact, the issue of wealth distribution is not an isolated issue in the Muslim community due to the fact that every year there are a growing number of frozen assets. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to examine the perception of planning of wealth distribution among the B40 income group. A survey of 382 respondents was conducted in order to gauge the perception. The findings of this study found that in the B40 group, individuals who earned RM1,001 - RM2,999 were the majority who had wrong perceptions towards the need for planning wealth distribution, followed by individuals who earned RM1,000 and below per month. This study contributes to the understanding that the B40 income group is the one that does not plan wealth distribution through waqf, wasiyyah and faraid mechanisms. AzizNurul Izzati NordinIssue of increasing in frozen assets every year was very alarming. Generally, increasing of frozen assets associated with how people plan and manage their wealth. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to investigate the perception pertaining to the planning of waqf, wasiyyah and faraid in Islamic wealth distribution among Muslims in Malaysia. The methodology of this paper is quantitative research through questionnaire. The general findings of this paper shows that majority of Malaysian Muslim have positive cognitive towards planning of waqf, wasiyyah and faraid.
