Publication Business Continuity Management For Data Outage Disruptor: A Study On A Private Hospital In Negeri Sembilan(Asian Scholars Network (ASNet), 2023) ;Noorfarhah Mohd HarisRabihah Md SumThe healthcare sector is a sector that faces many threats disrupting its critical services. Hence, the development of a solid plan for service continuity is crucial for the healthcare industry. The goal of this study is to analyse the internal and external business environment of healthcare institutions and determine threats that they are most vulnerable to. Based on the disruptors, thus study developed a Business Continuity Plan (BCP). This is a case study focusing on a private hospital in Negeri Sembilan. The respondents consist of 27 managerial level staffs from different departments. Data was collected using questionnaires. The collected data was on operational services critical operations, internal and external services dependencies. Business Impact Assessment (BIA) is used to assess strategies and solutions based on the supplied disruptors. Results of the BIA are used for the development of Business Continuity Plan for the private hospital. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Clinical studies have shown that there was an association between COVID-19 and cardiovascular disease. The virus can directly induce myocardial injury, arrhythmia, acute coronary syndrome, and venous thromboembolism. In Malaysia, students will come back to University soon. The screening techniques framework is required to reduce the pandemic Covid-19 transmission among the students. In this manuscript, we present a new screening technique framework which is consists of temperature and heart rate measurements, movement tracking and risk assessment. Students will be given a questionnaire to stratify their risk into high, medium, and low risk. The temperature will be measured by using an infrared thermometer. The heart rate will be monitored only in those in high and lowrisk categories by using a smart bracelet. The students’ movement will be tracked by using a Wi-Fi based location technique. To avoid any privacy concerns, the location data will be extracted only if the student shared the location with the confirmed COVID-19 case. Lastly, the risk assessment is required in reporting if the infection occurs among students. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

This study identifiespotential legal risks arising frombomb threat and evacuationprocessina private hospital. Bomb threat is a crisis situation that need to be managed by the hospital. Bomb threat and the evacuation processcan create legal liabilities to the hospital.To identify the potential legal risks, in‐depth content analysis was conducted on KPJSSHincident report, HICS guideline and legal judgment obtained from legal journal for case laws. The study found eightpotential legal risks. Among the potential legal risks arefailure to provide safe escape route and leak of patient medical information during patient transfer.Failure to provide safe escape route falls under Occupier’s Liability (Law of Tort). Leak of patient medical information during patient transferfalls under Breach of Medical Confidentiality (Law of Tort).The study finds that it is not sufficient for a hospital to identify legal risks. Knowledge of relevantbranch of lawis critical to understand hospital legal liabilities during crisis.
