This study is concentrating on the evaluation of credit assessment for business financing by applying qualitative method by interviewing 5 credit analysts in banking institution. Interviews conducted is divided into two main parts: first, the current practices of credit assessment in pre-approval stage and post-approval stage. Second, the study on how Islamic elements being utilised in making financing decision, thus, managing credit risk. In the first part, it was found that there were no differences between Islamic and conventional bank in term of credit assessment. However, most of the respondents advise that, Islamic banks should come out with more proactive credit assessment rather than depending on conventional practices. For the second part, all of the respondents held similar views and opinions that the Islamic elements such as Adl (fair and justice), Istiqamah (Continous), Akhlak, Syura and Tawakal should be implementaed in Islamic credit assessment. This study explored whether cash waqf donors/non-donors can be distinguished using demographic variables and their perceptions of cash waqf. Data were collected through survey questionnaires in Selangor/Klang Valley, Malaysia. Based on 386 samples, the results indicate that demographic variables and individual perceptions on cash waqf are useful to explain and predict donors/non-donors. Findings from this study will help awqaf institutions in their effort to develop some marketing plans that can encourage Muslim to participate in cash waqf. � 2016, Malaysian Consumer and Family Economics Association. Waqf have a potential to became one of the important devices regarding the socioeconomics realms in Muslim societies which will benefit the communities in term of education, health care, national security, transportation facilities, basic infrastructure, foods and job opportunities. The main objective of the current study is to explore the conceptual framework in improving the share waqf (waqf corporate) and identifies the uniqueness of the share waqf in Malaysia. In addition this study is to investigate the contribution of this type of share towards communities and nation welfare. The methodology of this study is a qualitative research based on the document analysis of relevant references. The interesting finding of this study indicates that the proper implementation of share waqf is very useful in developing the economic well being of the communities and nation especially if there is participation among GLCs. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Based on SME annual report year 2011, micro business represents almost 80% of business census. This figure showed the importance of micro business towards the development of country. However, there are many problems associates with micro business such as difficulties to get financing, shortage of capital, owners' knowledge and experience and others. There are many study conducted on how microbusiness get financing, knowledge of accounting, entrepreneurial behaviour but there is limited study on how credit risk management in microbusiness. Additionally, the main critiques in micro business also about entrepreneurs' knowledge in term of credit risk management in running the business. This knowledge is very important in order to have a good business performance and sustainability. For that reason the study is conducted in order to explore on how credit risk management knowledge and awareness among the entrepreneurs can be associated with different types of business-sole-proprietorship, partnership and private limited company. The study is conducted by distributing 460 questionnaires among micro business in Negeri Sembilan. The results shows mixed significant results on the relationship between types of business with credit risk awareness and credit risk knowledge. There is a significant difference among types of business on credit risk awareness; however there is no difference for different types of business with knowledge of credit risk management. The findings are very important for the better development and management of microbusiness in Malaysia. Publication Waqif satisfaction: Antecedents and consequences(American Scientific Publishers, 2017) ;Shukor, Syadiyah Abdul ;Anwar, Intan Fatimah ;Sabri, Hisham ;Aziz, Sumaiyah Abd ;Faculty of Economics and MuamalatUniversiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM)Waqf is an act of holding certain property and preserving it for the confined benefit of certain philanthropy that disallows any use or disposition of it outside the specific objective. Waqf creates great benefits not only for the donor (known as waqif) but also for the whole society. Study on the involvement of the Muslim community in waqf is limited but very instrumental in the economic development of Muslims. This study aims to determine the roles of religiosity, attitude, and trust on awaqf institution in determining waqif�s satisfaction in endowing cash waqf that leads to waqif�s intention to endow cash waqf. A total of 193 respondents participated in the study. Findings showed that religiosity, attitude and trust on awqaf institution are important factors in determining waqif�s satisfaction that leads to waqif�s intention to endow cash waqf. The study provides a useful source of information, which can be used by awqaf institutions regarding targeting Muslim participation in cash waqf. � 2017 American Scientific Publishers All rights reserved.
