Publication الضغوط النفسية والعزلة الاجتماعية ودورما في انتكاسة مدمني المخدرات: دراسة وصفية تحليلية بسلطنة عمان(Global Business and Social Entrepreneurship, 2018) ;Said Ahmed Said AlghadaniMahmoud Mohamed AliDespite the increasing number of treatment, rehabilitation and preventive programs in hospitals and rehabilitation centers worldwide to treat drug addicts; however, the problem is that large numbers of addicts who have received treatment have returned to addiction in a short period. In a study conducted in the Sultanate of Oman, on 246 patients during the medical treatment stage at Al-Misra Hospital; revealed that 78% of the sample had relapse more than twice. Therefore, this study aimed to diagnose the role of psychological stress, and the role of social isolation in the relapse of addicts during the recovery period. To achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive analytical method was used. The study community were: The Recovery Homes Center, the Life Society and the Special Sunrise MedicalCenter. The sample was 10 male addicts over the age of (20- 50) years chosen by the intentional method at the recovery period. Three measures were applied: the measure of psychological stress; which included five factors (personal, health, economic, financial, family, employment). The measure of social isolation; including three factors (self-feelings, family relationships, social relations). The relapse measure included eight factors: (Gesture and real estate hints, control of abuse, peer pressure, pleasant feelings, unpleasant feelings, relationship disorders, family problems, mental and physical pains and debility). The findimgs revealed that: There were statistically significant differences at the level of (? = 0.05) between psychological stress and social isolation in the occurrence of relapse among drug addicts during the period, and there were statistically significant differences at the level of (? = 0.05) between social isolation and relapse in Drug addicts during the recovery period, and there were statistically significant differences at the level of significance (? = 0.05) between psychological stress and relapse among drug addicts during recovery period. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication الضغوط النفسية والعزلة الاجتماعية ودورهما في انتكاسة الطلاب المدمنين على المخدرات خلال فترة النقاهة بسلطنة عمان(Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia, 2019-09)Said Ahmed Said AlghadaniThe issue of psychological behaviour among students is very significant to the drug addiction problem in schools.Statistic show the drug addiction problem is getting serious in Oman nowadays and it requires immediate prevention action.The problem is that large numbers of addict’s students who received treatment,returned addiction in a short period,there are psychological diseases; behavioural and cognitive affect the education prosess of the student,including psychological stress and social isolation.The purpose of this study is to diagnose the impacts of psychological pressure,and the effect of social isolation in the relapse of student’s ad ducted to drugs during the recovery period. The study also aimed to identify the differences in psychological stress and social isolation of drug addicts during the recovery period due to the number of time of relapse,the number of prison admissions,and level of academic achievement. The descriptive analytical approach was used to suit the nature of the study.The study sample consisted of (78) drug addicts in the recovery period in the Sultanate of Oman from the university stage,which ranged in ages from 18 to 23 years. The results of the study showed a statistical significant direct relationship between psychological stress and social isolation among student who were addicted to drugs during the recovery period. A statistical significant differences were also found in the significant level (α ≤ 0.05) of psychological stress of drug addicts during the recovery period attributed to no variable number of times of relapse.and the change in academic achievement in favour of student of low academic achievement, and the absence of statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α ≤ 0.05) in the psychological pressure of drug addicts during the recovery period due to the variable number of prison entries, The level of significance (α ≤ 0.05) in the social isolation of drug addicts during the recovery period was nil due to the variable number of time of relapse for the benefit was nil, and the variable number of times the prison access to 1-2 times, and the variable achievement for students with weak academic achievement.The study recommends treatment programs (individual or collective) in hospitals; rehabilitation centers specialized to treat student; in order to reduce the psychological stress,social isolation,replaces. By focusing on drug addiction among students in Oman, The study aim to enrich information and knowledge about drug addiction. It is hopefully, to help people in the field such as teacher-trainers, schools administrations, and security institutions to understand student psychology in oder to solve their students’ issues in relation to drug addiction.
