Publication Application of Islamic Jurisprudence Methodologies Informulating Parameters Related To The Production of Viral Videos as an Online Sales Marketing Strategy(Usuli Faqih Research Centre PLT, 2023) ;Mohd Sobri Ellias ;Salmy Edawati YaacobMuhammad Adib SamsudinIn today's era of e-commerce, there are numerous advertising methods appearing at a very fast space, among them the use of viral videos. With the aim of introducing and marketing a product in addition to attracting attention and influencing users to purchase the product, the focal point of content production is now focused on videos that grab attention, entertain the viewer, and providing value for those consuming the content. Flooding of comments and engagement can cause a video to become viral, at the same time providing free brand awareness and promotion for the product. When left unchecked, such methods of content distribution may prove to be a double edged sword, if it was used to spread content that does not comply with the syariah. Thus, this study is crucial in order to establish a syariah-compliant guideline in the production of viral videos as a reference for budding entrepreneurs to market their products, produce valuable content, that is in line with the principles of Islam. In order to achieve this, several methodologies of Islamic Jurisprudence have been selected to be applied in constructing a comprehensive Syariah parameter in the context of content production. The qualitative study approach is applied in this work, using descriptive analysis based on literature highlights extracted from various articles and journals, produced by local and international authors. In a nutshell, results of this study recommends that a comprehensive and practical syaria parameter be used as a guideline in the production of viral videos in Malaysia so that the digital marketing industry in our country will be a safe and healthy environment, for the entrepreneurs and also the consumers, in line with the principles of syariah, which is in itself, to achieve such objectives. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Characteristics Of Trust Among Successful Entrepreneurs In The Catering Services Industry In Malaysia(Center for Promoting Ideas, USA, 2020) ;Suhaila Nadzri ;Siti Syuhada Abd Rahman ;Nuradli Ridzwan Shah Mohd Dali ;Mohamad Sabri HaronSalmy Edawati YaacobIn the current scenario, the catering services industry in Malaysia is growing rapidly and is dominated by Muslim entrepreneurs. However, there are many ethical issues related to dishonesty such as cases of fraud, dishonesty, breach of promises and treachery associated with catering services reported in electronic and print media. Therefore, this study was conducted to explore the practice of trust among successful entrepreneurs in the catering services industry in the state of Selangor. This study is qualitative in nature through a semi-structured interview with eight successful entrepreneurs in the food and catering industry in the state of Selangor who have been in business for at least 10 years. Transcribed interview data were analysed using Atlas-ti-8 software to extract the required themes and categories. The study found that successful catering entrepreneurs emphasize the three elements of trust, namely responsibility, keeping promises, and being fair. These findings are in line with the Prophetic Leadership Management Wisdom (PROLM) model presented by Syafii Antonio (2013). However, there are four new elements of trust, namely avoiding usury or corruption, integrity, always remembering Allah, and avoiding the treachery that is also practiced by these successful entrepreneurs. It is hoped that this study can be used as a guide by Muslim entrepreneurs, especially in Malaysia to always practice trust that can help them be more successful and competitive in business. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Waqf Zurri Reporting: Accounting Theories and Stewardship(Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia, 2020-11-10) ;Sri Wahyu Sakina Bt Ahmad Sanusi ;Mohd Fairuz Md SallehSalmy Edawati YaacobIn accordance with the history of Islam, waqf zurri has been used as a property planning instrument or succession planning for the family. Waqf zurri aims to defend the plight of families left by their parents who are helpless. In the concept of Islamic law, a person who own property and intended to make waqf on his property should put priority on their immediate family members. Arguing the stewardship concept in accounting; it is known that the ultimate objective of accounting theory is to provide a basis for the prediction and explanation of accounting behaviour and events. Stewardship also demanded reporting and responsibility to be in place. Hence, the discussion in this article focuses on the positive accounting theory and decision usefulness theory which can be linked towards waqf zurri conduct on reporting manners. Those theories are beneficial since no standard reporting for waqf zurri adopted as for now. Therefore, the objective of this paper is to examine the accounting theories and stewardship concept in relation to waqf zurri reporting. Nonetheless, the needs for those theories in creating appropriate accounting principles in waqf zurri is open for debatable. This paper is a conceptual paper whereby the related literatures have been referred and analyse using thematic analysis. The implication of this paper is that the reporting of waqf zurri is deem important and shall be prepare meticulously dependable on the crucial accounting theories by the accountable party.
