Publication كتاب تلخيص الفلاح في بيان أحكام الطلاق والنكاح للشيخ محمد زين الآشي: دراسة التحقيق والتحليل(2024-01) ;عبدالكريم بن فردون ;Abdul Karim Bin PardonSyed Salim Bin Syed Shamsuddin [Supervisor]This thesis highlights a philological study (taḥqiq) and analysis of the manuscript entitled Ṭalkhiṣ al-Falaḥ fi Bayan Aḥkam al-Ṭalaq wa al-Nikaḥ written by Sheikh Muhammad Zain Acheh who lived around the 18th century AD. This writing includes a study on the author’s background, codicological analysis on selected manuscripts, content analysis as well as text transliteration. Due to the discovery of numbers of manuscripts that differ from each other, researcher acknowledges that the text needs to prove its authenticity. This is done by restructuring the text, editing and analyzing its content through selected manuscripts. To achieve the objective, this study uses qualitative methods by collecting data through library research, philological methods and conducting content analysis. The philological study of the manuscript text is carried out using the method of comparison and combination of manuscripts to produce an authoritative edition of the text. Among the findings of this study, there are differences between the manuscripts and need to produce a critical edition. In addition, this book was compiled with an emphasis on qawl mu‘tamad in the Shafiʻi madhhab. This is clear when the author only chooses the opinion that is marjuḥ in certain problems only with the aim of safeguarding maslahat. This study also found that in some issues the author expressed some hukum arising from his own opinion. This show that this book is very unique to be studied and highlighted. Therefore, the edited edition (taḥqiq) of the book Ṭalkhiṣ al-Falah fi Bayan Aḥkam al-Ṭalaq wa al-Nikaḥ is expected to make it easier for researchers and students to read and understand the text and its content.
