Management applied to agriculture is different because of the type of livestock in cultivation. This is also to find out which types of livestock are superior in each ASEAN country. Methodology: Narrative reviews on articles relating to the livestock sector in general, for instance: breed types, maintenance techniques or operating systems, climate change, pests and diseases, production value, livestock management, livestock's impact on the ecosystem and environment around the area of cattle are obtained with the help of tools Mendeley Desktop Software. v1. 19.5. Main Findings: This study seeks to provide information about population growth and growth in beef cattle production in the ASEAN region from 2013 to 2018, this is to determine the existence of Malaysia's position in beef cattle production. This study provides findings that the highest number of cattle growth starts from Indonesia, Myanmar Vietnam, the Philippines, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Brunei and Singapore. The growth of beef cattle population in Malaysia is relatively low compared to poultry, the reasons include: inadequate grazing land, low quality livestock supply, and irregular feed supply with high nutritional value and marketing system with inefficient production input supply chain (Ariff et al., 2015). Novelty of the study: This research review can be additional literature for further researchers related to animal husbandry and livestock management, and this study also discusses livestock in the ASEAN region so that superior breeds in the region can be identified. As for the development of animal husbandry in Malaysia, especially in animal husbandry is also discussed here briefly.
