Facebook has been regarded as an important social media tools. Previous studies show that Facebook had globally registered over 750 million active users, with half of them logging on to the side daily (Facebook Statistics, Stats and Facts for 2011).However, there is still limited understanding and study about the level of Facebook usage, especially among the Muslim youthsin Malaysia. This study addresses this gap by exploring the level of Facebook usage and its impact on Muslim youths religion understanding. The data of this study has been collected from Muslim youths in Nilai district, Malaysia through survey and interview. The findings show that the Facebook usage among Muslim youths in Malaysia is at medium level (M = 2.94, S.D = 0.93). The findings from in depth interview also reveal that the Facebook can be use as one of the sources religion understanding. This study provides valuable knowledge and understanding about the usage of Facebook among Muslim youths in Malaysia and its impact on their religion knowledge.

Increasing number of apostasy cases in Malaysia by year have been reported by many authorities.In this sense,istitabah,literally means asking or calling for repentance ,has to be enforced as a national educational and rehabilitation measure.The application of istitabah is considered as obligatory ,and supererogatory by the majority of scholars of Ahl Al-Sunnah Wa Al-Jamaah.This article aims to highlight some findings on the model and approaches of istitabah within the climate of Malaysian religious administration and societal needs.Through the use of qualitative research strategies,it was found that there were only glimpses of istitabah exposition in the classical and modem texts of Islamic scholarship.This has called for present ijtihad to fill in the gaps towards a living practice of istitabah.This article will elucidate a preliminary exposition of M-Istitabah (Malaysia Istitabah),which will become a model for Malaysian Istitabah that applies integrated approach of the principle religion and crisis intervention towarda rehabilitation of apostasy crimes in Malaysia.

Culture covers a wide range of different aspects such as food, clothing, communication, relationship, way of life, way of thinking and etc. In Malaysia, with the diversity of the various ethnic groups and religions give us the opportunity to have cultural diversity. However, the practice of cultural awareness in Malaysia is still low because there are still some people who do not know even purposely disregard for other people's cultures. Hence, this paper will look into the history and definitions of cultural awareness in details by giving explanations from the experts. In addition, this paper also discusses the concept of cultural awareness and the necessity to practice it according to Islamic perspective and how the views and perceptions of cultural consciousness in Malaysia, whether among those who are Muslims and non-Muslims. This paper will also look at the aspect of the media as a medium to provide an understanding and knowledge of cultural awareness to the society. Lastly, in this paper, the authors also share their previous experiences with different ethnics, cultures and religions and has assessed how their level of acceptance of our culture and vice versa.

Literally al-istitabah to ask for repentance or the act of doing repentance. The discussion regarding al-istitabah can be seen clearly in the discussion of the various disciplines of Islamic knowledge as it is based upon a strong foundation i.e. the Qur'an and Prophetic traditions. The problem of leaving Islam which is a main issue in Islamic law requires an enlighten and contemporary approach via istitabah. A qualitative study is currently being pursued towards the attempt to construct an operational model which is more comprehensive in Malaysia. This article is a premilinary paper which is based upon a textural study on 30 contemporary and heritage texts which covers the opinion of at least 40 scholars of Islam on the issue of istitabah. The findings of this textual study and analysis will be used in the operational model together with input from other disciplines i.e.crisis intervention procedures and faitll based procedures which is normally related to the counselling field.
