Publication Evaluating Open Source Software Using The Selection Criteria And Analytical Hierarchy Process(American-Eurasian Network for Scientific Information, 2013) ;Yusmadi Yah Jusoh ;Khadijah Chamili ;Jamaiah Hj. YahayaNoraini Che PaThere are many potential and good open source software (OSS) products available in the market with free license. However, with various choices, the adoption rate is still low among OSS potential users because there is not an agreed acceptable set of criteria to evaluate and decide varieties of OSS products, with little documentation and user manuals, and immature products. Therefore, the users need to consider on how to improve decision making on selecting the most suitable OSS products. In this paper, the background research on the proposed OSS adoption and criteria of selection are discussed and explored which then moves to the implementation of the My Open Source Software Toolkit (MyOSST) v1.0. The analytical hierarchy process (AHP) was applied for selecting the most suitable OSS products and assisting the potential user for deciding the OSS products based on their preferred selection criteria. The toolkit will support the OSS adoption process with proposed criteria selection and pair wise comparison. The toolkit was tested and validated by IT professionals capable to assist the decision making on selecting an appropriate OSS product. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Global Virtual Teams Management System: Project Manager Guide(Institute of Advanced Engineering and Science (IAE, 2022) ;Hiba Adil Yousif ;Ali Yahya Gheni ;Yusmadi Yah Jusoh ;Nur Ilyana Ismarau TajuddinMohana ShanmugamGlobal virtual teams (GVTs) are a recent organizational adaptation created to meet the needs of globalizatized marketplace. GVTs are essentially teams that are distributed across national boundaries and concerned through advanced information and communication technology (ICT) such as email, instant messaging, and video conferencing. The research on GVTs is important in the information system (IS) field because GVTs are dependent on information communication technology and the use of other technologies; GVTs also consists of people from different cultures. This paper tried to answer two research questions. The first one is: what are the GVTs problems facing the project manager (PM). A literature review was conducted to answer the first research question. The second one is: how to develop system as a guide for PM. The system was developed by Visual Studio 2019. Online model verification was conducted within 6 experts from IT industry. After developing the system, it was validated by eleven developers (non-functional test/black-box testing) and 3 developers/programmers (functional test/white-box testing) from the same industry. The result of model verification confirmed that the model can help the PM. Also, the non-functional test/black-box testing and functional test/white-box testing was confirmed. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Open Source Software Selection Using an Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP)(Science Publishing Group, 2014) ;Yusmadi Yah Jusoh ;Khadijah Chamili ;Noraini Che PaJamaiah H. YahayaThere are many potential and good open source software (OSS) products available on the market with a free license. However, with various choices, the adoption rate is still low among potential users because there is not an agreed acceptable set of criteria to evaluate and select various OSS. The criteria of selection may differ between the stakeholders within the organisations. There is a tendency that the user may have a biased perception of an OSS’s characteristics or capabilities for solving problems when selecting OSS products. Other restrictions are caused by inadequate documentation and user manuals, and immature products. Therefore, the users need to consider how to improve their decision making when selecting the most suitable OSS products. In this paper, the background research on the proposed OSS adoption and criteria of selection are discussed and explored. Then the research methodology, processes and implementation of the My Open Source Software Toolkit (MyOSST) v1.0 are covered. The analytical hierarchy process (AHP) was applied on the selection process and for the purpose of assisting the potential user to decide on the OSS products based on their preferred selection criteria. MyOSST v1.0 was tested and validated by IT professionals in one of the Malaysian universities. The results show that the tool is capable of assisting the decision making process for selecting an appropriate OSS product. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Prototype Evaluation Of E-Knowledge Integration System: A Case Study In Small Medium Enterprises(Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia, 2021-09-09) ;Nur Ilyana Ismarau Tajuddin, ;Rusli Abdullah, ;Marzanah A. JabarYusmadi Yah JusohToday, knowledge is the single most important source of advantage in business, and it resides within the individual members of the organization. To harness this knowledge and direct it towards the achievement of organizational goals, knowledge should be integrated in a systematic manner. Social media can be considered as a tool to integrate knowledge effectively which can lead to improve the organization performance. Prototype system provides the validation for the conceptual model. E Knowledge Integration System (EKIS) prototype has been developed as a method for model validation of Knowledge Integration through social media. This article analyzes the prototype evaluation of EKIS in Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) using Rasch model. The findings indicate that the EKIS prototype is appropriate and significant in supporting propose of KI model and were satisfied in system quality, perceived usefulness and the functionalities. The findings for this study can be used as a guideline for SMEs in integrating knowledge through social media. Keywords: Knowledge Integration, Social Media, Prototype, Technology, Organization.
