Publication Cabaran Dan Keyakinan Pelajar Melayu Terhadap Pengajaran Dan Pembelajaran Bahasa Arab Di Sekolah Menengah(USIM Press, 2018) ;Muhammad Najib Jaafar ;Zulkipli Md. Isa ;Wahida Mansor ;Arnida Abu BakarZainal Abidin HajibKajian ini bertujuan mengenal pasti tahap cabaran dan keyakinan pelajar-pelajar Melayu di sekolah menengah terhadap pengajaran dan pembelajaran Bahasa Arab. Kajian ini juga melihat faktor-faktor yang membentuk cabaran dan mempengaruhi keyakinan para pelajar sekolah menengah dalam mempelajari Bahasa Arab. Seterusnya, kajian turut meneliti hubungan antara keyakinan pelajar-pelajar bertutur dalam Bahasa Arab dengan kekerapan mereka bertutur. Sampel kajian terdiri daripada 1400 orang pelajar tingkatan 1, 2, dan 4 dari sekolah menengah agama di semenanjung Malaysia yang menawarkan subjek Bahasa Arab Komunikasi. Data kajian dipersembahkan secara diskriptif dalam bentuk kekerapan, peratusan dan min. Dapatan kajian mendapati tahap cabaran pelajar dalam mempelajari Bahasa Arab boleh dianggap sebagai mencabar pada kedudukan min sebanyak 3.1340 dengan nilai sisihan piawainya adalah pada 0.6470. Manakala tahap keyakinan pelajar terhadap Bahasa Arab boleh dianggap sederhana dengan skor min mereka adalah pada 2.768 dan sisihan piawainya pula adalah pada 0.313. Kajian ini mendapati sembilan faktor boleh dikaitkan dengan cabaran pelajar mempelajari Bahasa Arab dan lapan faktor yang mempengaruhi keyakinan mereka. Ujian Khi Kuasa Dua telah digunakan bagi menentukan kebergantungan keyakinan pelajar bertutur dalam Bahasa Arab dengan kekerapan mereka bertutur dalam Bahasa Arab. Test of Independent telah dilakukan dan mendapati ianya signifikan pada aras 0.05, dengan nilai χ2 = 107.588, df = 9, p = 0.000. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication The Effectiveness of Grammatical Hunting Game Method Students’ Arabic Learning Motivation(Unversitas Islam Negeri Raden Intan Lampung, 2021) ;Muhammad Jafar Shodiq ;Zaimatuz ZakiyahZainal Abidin HajibThis experimental research was motivated by the low Arabic learning motivation in class VIII MTsN 9 Bantul which was caused by the use of monotonous learning methods. This study aims to find out students' Arabic learning motivation after the application of Grammatical Hunting language educational game method and to compare the Arabic learning motivation of the experimental class and the control class. This study used a quasi-experimental research type. The sample of this research was students of class VIII B and VIII C of MTsN 9 Bantul Yogyakarta consisting of 60 students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The results of this study indicated that: 1) The student's Arabic learning motivation increased after the application of Grammatical Hunting language educational game method based on the results of the paired sample t-test with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, Ha was accepted. 2) There was a significant difference in the learning motivation of the experimental class and the control class, based on the results of the independent sample t-test with a significance value of 2.042 ≥ 2.001, Ha was accepted. This method could increase students' motivation to learn Arabic. This study contributed to the use of varied learning methods, so that qawā'id learning would become an enjoyable learning. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Kajian Pola dan Makna Kontekstual Perkataan Basar dalam Surah al-Isra'(Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia, 2018) ;Robiatul Adawiyah Mohd ;Nur Farhana Baharuddin ;Zainal Abidin Hajib ;Norzulaili Mohd GhazaliHishomudin AhmadAl-Quran adalah kitab suci yang diturunkan pada 15 kurun yang lalu. Setiap huruf, perkataan, ayat dan surah di dalamnya mengandungi pola yang sempurna dan tersusun indah. Setiap pola dalam al-Quran mempunyai makna yang signifikan untuk dikaji. Secara umumnya kajian mengenai pola al-Quran telah banyak dijalankan. Walaubagaimanapun tiada kajian spesifik mengenai pola berdasarkan perkataan dalam al-Quran khususnya perkataan basar. Tambahan pula terjemahan al-Quran sedia ada didapati tidak mengambil kira aspek pemaknaan secara kontekstual sesuatu perkataan dalam terjemahan mereka. Justeru, kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pola perkataan basar dalam surah al-Isra’, menganalisis makna perkataan basar dan mengklasifikasikannya berdasarkan pendekatan tematik terhadap makna konteks ayat. Kertas kerja ini merupakan kertas kerja konseptual dengan menggunakan kaedah kualitatif serta kaedah analisis kandungan berdasarkan pendekatan tematik. Hasil dapatan kajianmendapati dalam surah al-Isra’terdapat 8 pengulangan perkataan “basar”. Dapatan kajian ini juga mendapati bahawasetiap perkataan basara mempunyai makna yang berbeza berdasarkan derivasi dan makna konteks setiap ayat. Pemahaman khusus sebegini perlu dikaji secara lebih meluas terhadap perkataan yang ada di dalam al-Quran, lebih-lebih lagi terjemahan al-Quran sedia ada tidak mengambil kira pendekatan ini dalam penterjemahan mereka. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication The vowel of middle figure of trilateral non-affix present tense verb of the fa-‘a-la form : A statistical analytical study on Al-Wasit dictionary(Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia, 2015-06) ;Yusoff Yaacob ;Zainur Rijal Abdul RazakZainal Abidin HajibThis article studies the middle figure’s vowel of non-affix trilateral verb in its present tense form from one charter only which is “fa’ala”.It exposes and discusses the views of ancient grammarians and new and contemporary linguists regarding the issue.It also tests some ancient theories which arose in attempt to determine the vowel of the figure.The sourse of verbs that the researcher depends on in his study is “ Mu’jam al-Wasit”,a trusted modern dictionary,to match his interest in studying the contemporary Arabic Language.The researcher has statistically counted those verbs from the respected dictionary and categorized them according to their middle figure to look at every figure that occupies that middle position,and to determine its tendency toward any of three vowels (fathah or kasrah or dhammah) when located together with other figure after him.The researcher also has proven and recognized some of ancient theories which should not be neglected in teaching morphology particularly to non-native speaker of Arabic and was able to determine the tendency of every figure that occupies the middle position toward any of the two vowels for those which their middle figure is not throat’s letter based on that,he suggested some morphological bases to determine the vowel of that middle figure. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

However, syntactic researches on the prophetic traditions have been neglected, even till recent times. This is owed to some factors which include the narration of the traditions with their wording, meaning and recounting. Thus, this work seeks to explore parenthesis in the traditions narrated verbatim. Although parenthesis is inadmissible in parsing, it remains one of the classifications of sentences in Arabic texts. Observably, the syntactical and rhetorical study of the prophet’s traditions is minimal, when compared to the attention of the syntacticians to the study of the Quranic expressions and Arab speech in poetry and prose. This is due to the difference of opinions of the syntacticians over the narration of the traditions. Based on that, this research aims to generally examine the likelihood of the stand of the classical and modern syntacticians on the study of expressions of the prophetic traditions syntactically, and specifically explore the parenthetical terms used by the classical and modern syntacticians. Also, it aims to analyze the styles of the parenthetical clauses and their rhetorical purposes in the traditions narrated by Ummu Salmah in Ibn Hanbal’s Musnad. This study is theoretical and qualitative in nature. As such, it employs descriptive analytical method to describe: how the syntacticians deal with the expressions of prophetic traditions, establish their stand on the study of the expressions based on the syntactical rules, and analyze the styles and structures of the parenthetical clauses contained in the traditions narrated by Ummu Salmah in Ibn Hanbal’s corpus. This is done to get the purposes of their usages in the texts. One of the primary outputs of this study is that the parenthetical clauses used in the traditions are characterized by some syntactical and rhetorical terms. It discussed the views of scientists around them because of its moral and synthetic effects, and the inclusion images contained in the Koran. The study adopted the analytical method, comparing to the views of scientists on the subject in the books of language, interpretations, grammar and rhetoric for the preference of a strong over the weak. On the other hand, they have a strong background in Arabic language although they have not learned it. Consequently, they have a strong background in the language of the Holy Qur’an as well. There are hundreds and thousands of Arabic Nouns adopted in Bengali, and many of them are mentioned in the Qur'an as well. This article presents a contrastive analytical study between Inflected Nouns of Surah Al-Fatihah and what is used from them in Bengali language. This study also attempts to examine the possibility of using the same noun or a noun from its roots when translating its meanings. Hence, the study aims at exploring the similarities and differences between its meanings from both languages to know how easy it is to understand their meanings without referring to any dictionary or translation during their next recitation. The study used inductive method in collecting data in terms of verbal similarity symmetry and analytical method in describing them in terms of lexical similarity. This study chose several famous Bengali vocabulary dictionaries to collect data and cite their meanings. The study shows that most of the Inflected Nouns themselves are used in the Bengali language verbally and lexically, where some of them are used by another noun/s from their roots. At the end, this study brought a translation of the meaning of the surah, using those Arabic Names. It is expected that the study will be a prelude to translate the meaning of the entire Qur’an in this manner. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings

Morphological awareness is the ability of a learner to reflect and manipulate morphemic structure of words while lexical inferencing is a smart guessing of unknown words based on the language contexts. Studies suggested that morphological awareness and lexical inferencing have a strong relationship with vocabulary learning and consequently on reading comprehension. Hence this study attempted to investigate the relationship between morphological awareness and lexical inferencing on one hand and reading comprehension on the other hand. Moreover, the study also aims to investigate the role of vocabulary knowledge between morphological awareness and lexical inferencing on one hand and reading comprehension on the other hand. 240 Arabic as a second language learners randomly selected to participate in the study and Structural Equation Modeling were employed to test the direct and indirect hypothesized relations of the model. The study found that morphological awareness and lexical inferencing have direct and indirect relationships with reading comprehension. It is also found that vocabulary knowledge plays a significant role not only in reading compre¬hension but also in acquiring fundamental language skills. - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
