Publication Internet’s Islamic Information Credibility Scale (IIICS)(Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia, 2011) ;Mohd Sobhi Ishak ;Siti Zobidah Omar ;Jusang Bolong ;Musa Abu Hassan ;Zulkiple Abd. GhaniThe present research develops and validates a new scale that measures Internet information credibility from Islamic perspective. The content domain for this measure was developed based on interviews with Islamic scholars, and previous literature on credibility, and empirically tested using a large samples of 1180 Internet users qualified in Islamic studies. Eight dimensions extracted from 85 developed items using exploratory factor analyses and namely: visual appeal, source-writer relationships, authentic source, writer’s moral, web reputation, writer’s integrity, writer’s identity, and writer’s reliance. The measurement model of multidimensional scale was validated using Structural Equation Modeling on AMOS Version 18. Thus, the re-specified model produced the Internet’s Islamic Information Credibility Scale with not only the content validity, but also displays the construct reliability, convergent validity, and discriminant validity.2 28 - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Islamic Popular Culture: Emerging of Nasyid Groups in Malaysia(Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia, 2006)Zulkiple Abd. GhaniThis paper seeks to examine the emerging of nasyid's groups and their contributions in nurturing Islamic popular culture in Malaysia. In the light of the proliferation of da'wah, some nasyid groups have gradually emerged and grown, saying that they will uphold Islamic identity and propagate Islamic messages through the medium. Their songs fulfill a small amount of segment of radio and television time and regarded by some observe; as alternative entertainments to the non-Islamic culture. The groups objectives, visions and selected lyrics of their songs will be analyzed in order to present how they develop Islamic popular culture in facing globalism. This paper also argues that the major neglect of nourishing Islamic popular culture results in a vacuum which is inevitably Wed by non-Islamic culture. Therefore, as Malaysia is moving towards fulfilling Vision 2020 as a developed country which emphasizes on a fully moral and ethical society, artists, like other groups in society, have to have a model to build a good image. This role is being played by artists in nasyid groups.16 4
