Publication Analysing the Principle of Maslahah in the Compensation Scheme for Land Fraud in MalaysiaSafeguarding rights to property from any unwarranted acts is not only guaranteed under the Federal Constitutions of Malaysia but it is also one of the maqasid of al-syariah. Thus, any measures towards property protection serves the public interest and is desirable. In addressing the issue of land fraud, many parties have proposed for the establishment of a compensation scheme which provides monetary relief to the land fraud victims in the event their lands are irrecoverable due to the legal constraints. The scheme is currently unavailable in Malaysia unlike in some other Torrens land jurisdictions such as Australia and New Zealand. This paper analyzes the syariah perspective on the proposed compensation scheme through the principle of maslahah (public good). Maslahah is one of the extended methodological principles of Islamic jurisprudence which can be the basis of law. This principle plays a crucial role in interpreting and applying Islamic legal rulings ensuring that laws align with the needs and wellbeing of the society. A qualitative analysis was made based on the primary and secondary sources. The discussion underlines the need for a secure land tenure system as a catalyst for economic activities and sustainable development. Measures in the form of compensation or insurance are necessary to protect the inherent risks in land dealings. The findings indicate that the principle of maslahah can be the basis for the establishment of the compensation scheme in Malaysia. The study provides conceptual justification for formulating a workable and syariah compliance compensation scheme in the future.7 15 - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication The Experience Of Spiritual Self-care Among Malaysian Counsellors: An Exploratory Study(Taylor & Francis Group, 2023) ;Nur Husna Mohd Hafiz; ; ; ; Muhammed Fauzi OthmanCounselors in Malaysia rely on religious practices for self-care and personal growth, according to a previous study. This exploratory study used a descriptive phenomenological approach to interview four counselors with diverse religious beliefs who are engaged in crisis work. The study identified three key themes of spiritual self-care: 1) religious practice, 2) self-reflection, and 3) internalizing religious values professionally. The research suggests the need for increased religious competence among counselors and emphasizes the inclusion of religious competence as a requirement for crisis work deployment. It also highlights the importance of incorporating cultural aspects into counselor self-care education.57 69 - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Fuzzy Delphi Method Application in Developing Methodology for Integrating Memorised Quranic Verses with Aqli Knowledge Based on Quranic ExegesisIntegrating naqli and aqli knowledge is an approach used in the Kolej GENIUS Insan curriculum. However, no specific model for integrating memorised Quranic verses with aqli knowledge has been highlighted for the subject of Hifz al-Quran. This study aims to outline the methodology of integrating memorised Quranic verses with aqli knowledge based on the discipline of Quranic exegesis. The Fuzzy Delphi method was used, involving twelve experts in Quranic exegesis. The findings showed that the consensus of the experts in the methodology of integrating memorised Quranic verses is the interpretation of the Quran based on the Quran, followed by the interpretation based on the opinion (al-raʾy), the hadith, the opinion of the companions, the opinion of the followers, the language, and the opinion of the previously recognised exegetes. For Quranic exegesis based on opinion (al-raʾy), there are eleven methods, ranked in order of priority.57 69 - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Intensify Biodegradation Process Of Polylactic Acid (pla) Waste Generated From 3d Printing Activities(Trans Tech Publications Ltd, Switzerland, 2024) ;MUHAMMAD Naqib Hamdan ;AMIR Mustaqim Mohd Naim ;NURADLYNA Safyah Mohd Rozi ;MOHD Shaiful SajabAdditive manufacturing, or 3D printing, is a key technology driving Industry 4.0. via the formation of three-dimensional objects from a computer-aided design model which can be done through layer-by-layer technique. Polylactic acid (PLA) ranks as one of the most favored materials as a 3D printing filament. Despite its unique properties, PLA took about 12 weeks to biodegrade which is slow degradation leads to an increased rate of plastic pollution in the environment. The aim of this study was to provide an alternative method for bioplastic waste management through biodegradation process using potting mix soil at different incubation temperatures and times. The PLA was designed in coupon shapes and eventually, 3D printed, respectively. Consequently, potting mix soil was prepared in a container and coupon, as all PLA samples were then planted 7 cm from the soil surface. Eventually, PLA samples were subjected to biodegradation process in the soil at 25 o C and 50 o C. Subsequently, each sample was drawn from the soil at different incubation times up to 65 days. The results show that prolong incubation time has resulted in PLA coupon losing weight up to 10.4% and 1.4% for the incubation time of 25 o C and 50 oC, respectively. Meanwhile, the physical structure has deteriorated to powder form and the fragility decreases proportionally as prolonged incubation time. Functional groups analysis showed the functional groups altered after the biodegradation process of PLA and soil. Ergo, this method can be utilized for the community to execute self-degradation of their PLA waste generated even at their own facility.21 34 - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Perioperative Management Of Argininemia Child Undergoing Circumcision: A Case Report(Elsevier Inc., 2024) ;Suki IsmetMuhamad Rafiqi HehsanArgininemia is a rare autosomal recessive metabolic disorder characterized by a deficiency of arginase, a vital enzyme in the urea cycle. This metabolic defect results in the accumulation of arginine and its metabolites, leading to hyperammonemia and associated neurological symptoms. We present a case detailing the perioperative management of an 11-year-old male child diagnosed with argininemia undergoing circumcision. The perioperative management of patients with argininemia presents unique challenges due to the risk of hyperammonemia and neurological decompensation triggered by physiological stress, fasting, and the catabolic state associated with surgery. This case report highlights the importance of individualized anesthetic strategies for patients with rare metabolic disorders like argininemia. A multidisciplinary approach involving collaboration among anesthesiologists, endocrinologists, dietitians, and surgeons is essential to ensuring a safe perioperative experience for these patients. Further research is essential to refine perioperative protocols and optimal anesthetic interventions for individuals with argininemia undergoing surgical procedures.30 19 - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication The Dynamism of the Social Literary and Hermeneutical Streams in Qurʾanic Classical and Modern Exegesis Studies(Brill, 2024) ;Selamat bin Amir; ;Mustaffa bin AbdullahMuhamad Alihanafiah NorasidAmong the Qurʾanic exegesis streams that have emerged due to social changes and current developments in human civilisation, such as [specific social changes and developments], are the social literary (tafsīr al-adabī al-ijtimāʿī) stream and the hermeneutic. Both streams have their framework, phase, and factor from the time of their emergence and have their position in the method of Qurʾanic exegesis. This study discusses these two streams as a central debate in line with the historical and philosophical correlation of the evolution from classical to modern interpretations from various perspectives and in the context of the Islamic and Western world. This qualitative study used library research and comparative study on the social literary stream and hermeneutic, supported by other related written materials. The study finds that the social literary stream and hermeneutics differ in origin and methodology. The social literary stream is an interpretation that discusses Qurʾanic verses with the aesthetic value of language literature and its correlation with the elements of society. It can solve problems, counter hostility towards Islam, and treat diseases that exist in society with the guidance of the Qurʾan. Hermeneutic is a method of interpreting or expressing meaning in a text, originally referring to the Bible, originated from Greek mythology, which then developed in Christian culture and is now beginning to influence the method of interpreting the Quran. It is unsuitable for interpreting the Qurʾan because it would raise doubts (skepticism and relativism) about the equation of the Qurʾanic text with ordinary texts.18 17 - Some of the metrics are blocked by yourconsent settings
Publication Travels and Cities of The Ḥadith Studies: An Analysis of Buldan in the Islamic Intellectual History(Brill, 2023)Muhammad Fawwaz Bin Muhammad YusofBiographical materials of cities or regions are arguably a part of scattered Muslim historical compositions, with a noticeable impact on the shaping of literary traditions in classical Islam. This article aims to draw attention to the concept of buldān in the Islamic intellectual history, which is largely converged with the concept of ṭabaqāt, or generational structure in the theoretical treatises as classified by the classical Ḥadīth scholars. Based on the answers to this question, the task involves analysing both theoretical and practical aspects of Ḥadīth collections and Ḥadīth theoretical treatises along with biographical dictionaries of the earlier periods, beginning with the sixth/twelfth century and then going back to the second/eighth century. Our historical research and discursive approach have pointed out that the representations of cities or regions in the biographical dictionaries of Ḥadīth scholars carry culturally and historically significant impacts, in addition to an insight that early Muslim scholars correlated knowledge with social endurance of cities.22 12
