dc.description.abstractA decrease in international food prices in the second half of 2008 has since failed to translate into more “affordable food” for most people around the world. Hunger and food insecurity - the most serious forms of abject poverty - have now become international priorities; the World Food Summit 1996 made a solemn commitment to halve hunger in the world by 2015. This paper fills a request for a study of prophetic food with limited access to affordable and nutritious food; dates, whilst proposing the establishment of the “DatesfortheworldInstitute” to reduce the eradication of abject poverty and street begging.en_US
