dc.description.abstractBuying gold online through the lock price method is a popular method of contemporary gold transactions. The advantage of this lock price method gives the buyer an advantage to get a cheaper price from the occurrence of price changes if the value of gold soars. With a price lock, the buyer will get the price of gold when the price lock is done and it will not change or be affected by changes in the value of gold. The research question is how the lock price method is applied so that there is no element of delay that leads to the issue of usury (riba) considering that gold transactions which are ribawi items must be done in cash and there is taqabud from both parties in a ceremony. The focus of this study is to examine the lock price method in gold transactions that occurs to analyze shariah compliance based on gold transaction guidelines according to the Islamic financial perspective. The methodology used is a qualitative research design which is through a literature review approach based on content analysis and relevant documents. The result of the study is the formation of a specific parameter in the lock price method produced to ensure that gold transactions are carried out clearly without the element of delay and the occurrence of taqabud in a ceremony. In addition, with the parameters produced this will distinguish the lock price method which is only an agreement and has not yet formed a gold sales contracten_US
