Abstract
This paper is part of an extensive doctoral study, which aims to discuss the Ethical charters, the teaching profession and the behavior of the teacher which conform to the ethics of the profession. Educational statistics of the Ministry of Education in the Sultanate of Oman indicate that there are marked disparity in the levels of male and female students, whether in success rate or repetition or in general achievement level, which makes us to look for the reasons that lead to these differences, Of the interrelated rules of the majority of teachers, which may affect the behavior of students in the classroom, and emphasize the need for teachers to adhere to this ethic. The researcher adopted the analytical descriptive approach and the Johns & Saks (2005) concept of organizational behavior. The topic was discussed in three areas: The moral charters of the teaching profession at the Arab and foreign countries, the characteristics of the teacher's ethics, and finally the teacher's behavior which conforms to the teaching profession ethics. The findings revealed the need for the moral duties of the teacher in terms of his profession, his relationship with his students and his relationship with the society in which he lives. The Arab charters affirmed the integrity of the teacher's doctrine in line with the nature, identity and culture of Arab societies. While foreign covenants were used for the term jam instead of teacher. She took care of the learning environment, and the ethics of the profession towards students and parents. The profession of education is sacred. Its functionaries must perform the right to belong to it; to be faithful to work and to be true to the soul and the society, and to continuous giving to spread well and eliminate ignorance and evil.
