Tilawah Surah Al-Fatihah: Antara Isu Kesalahan Bacaan Dalam Ilmu Tajwid Dan Kesahan Solat Menurut Ilmu Fekah

As is well known, the recitation of surah al-Fatihah is one of the pillars of prayer that must be performed. If it is not read, from the point of fekah views, one's prayers are not valid and are not accepted in terms of Islamic law. However, there are various prejudices that exist about the validity of a prayer when the quality of recitation of surah al-Fatihah does not comply with the hukum of tajwid such as the pronunciation of letters from the angle of makhraj and sifat, the rate of harakat, waqaf at inappropriate kalimah or ayat and so on. This issue is increasingly attracting the attention of community when many have begun to have the awareness to evaluate the quality of the recitation of imam prayers in mosques and suraus. In fact, there are various institutions and certain individuals who began to take the initiative in this issue by organizing courses on the recitation of surah al-Fatihah and so on by using the objective and trademark: "Incorrect recitation of surah al-Fatihah, will effect the validation of prayer". Recognizing this, this paper will examine the issue from two perspectives of religious knowledge, namely the science of tajwid related to the hukum of recitation and the science of fekah related to the hukum of the validity of prayer. This qualitative paper by using the library method will touch on issues that often arise in modern society nowadays related to the incorrect recitation of surah al-Fatihah and its relation to the valid acceptance of prayers. The initial finding of the study is that there are several forms of incorrect readings from the point of view of tajwid that can lead to the invalidity of prayer from the point of view of fekah. It is hoped that with the disclosure of this scientific study can give a clearer picture of the relationship between the quality of recitation of surah al-Fatihah with the conditions of the acceptance of prayers.
