Sejarah Penggunaan Mata Wang Dinar

The focus of this paper is on the history and development of the usage of gold and silver coins as a form of currency. The historical background starts before the Islamic era as it was used by the Greek and Romans, then followed by the Muslims. The development of the Islamic currency production gives emphasis on the differences made on the existing currency until the Islamic currency came up with its own identity. The aspects related to the currency and religion, the economic factors and the rulers who influenced the success of the currency are also studied and discussed.
