Abstract

Perception plays a big role in shaping actions and making decisions. Today, the non-physical criminal case is increasing, and getting worse when it involves members of security forces. a variety of perceptions in society is imminent. Therefore, this article will examine the level of security perception due to non-physical crimes among young people. The Health Believe Model is used as a framework in studies. The methodology of this study is through quantitative design with a survey approach. A total of 406 respondents were involved with the simple random samples technique. The study found the perception of youth towards the level of security due to non-physical crimes was at a negative level. This can be seen as the result of the min value score on the security construct, the concerned constructs, the obstruction construct, the motivational construct, and the benefit construct. Further discussions and proposed improvements are as suggested.
