There is something to ponder about the lack of explanation on the food container (al-aniyah) concept even though it was discussed by Muslim scholars a long time ago. Therefore, this article will discuss the food container (al-aniyah) concept from Islamic perspective based on the classical and contemporary texts. Method of research is to be used from primary or secondary resources based on library method. Research outcomes proved that food container (al-aniyah) made from the various of materials such as the golds, silvers, diamonds, leathers, bones, coppers etc. Some of scholars has determined regarding on permission and prohibition of using the food container (al-aniyah) with justifications based on their own madhhab evaluations.
