Abstract

The aim of this research is a qualitative study to know the difficulties of the usage of Jama’ Mudhakkar Salim and Af’alal-Khamsah among the Sekolah Menengah Agama Majlis Agama Islam Wilayah Persekutuan (SMA MAIWP) students. This research is focusing on the grammatical rules of Jama’ Mudhakkar Salim and Af’alal-Khamsah. It is also aimed to expose these SMA MAIWP students to the syntax approach in I’rab and their understanding in using them. The research has used a qualitativeapproach in which the reasearcher distributed the test papers containing questions of Jama’ Mudhakkar Salim and Af’alal-Khamsah. The test conducted on 120 form four students of SMA MAIWP. Researchers has obtained the end result by program statistical analysis (SPSS). Researcher has as well distributed survey forms to teachers to figure out the reason of the problems. Finding shows that the students are unable to differentiate the syntax signs, not competent enough using the method and less practice is done. Finding also shows that student’s acquisition on the lesson is weaker compared to after lesson. Lastly the most important suggestion stated that it can enhance student’s acquisition on the use of Jama’ Mudhakkar Salim and Af’alal-Khamsah correctly in building sentence and to avoid more mistake.
