The study aims at analysing the nature of human trafficking crimes in the UAE. The discussion focuses on the adequacy of legislation and procedures in confronting and limiting the crime of human trafficking. It also, examines the efforts of the UAE laws and policies and its future to combat human trafficking. To achieve these aims, the researcher explores the concept of the crime of human trafficking, its differences from other similar crimes, the justifications for its commission, and its effects on society and the country. In addition, the study investigates the measures and policies taken by the UAE legislator in the face of crime, such as legal, supervisory and punitive legislation, as well as a statement of penalties and penal provisions and the extent of their proportionality and compatibility with the current situation. Moreover, the study explores important challenges and difficulties of UAE in facing the crime of human trafficking. The study also considers the role of national institutions and international cooperation policies in order to combat these crimes and the futuristic vision for limiting these crimes. The study utilises both doctrinal and empirical legal research techniques. Interview data are used to complement doctrinal discussions to provide valuable insights in understanding the law and the practices around it. The study concludes that the national legislation does not specify accurately the exact nature of human trafficking crimes, which resulted in an overlap between these crimes and other similar crimes. Furthermore, lack of legal enforcement affects the positive effort of the country in combatting the crime of human trafficking. To combat the crime of human trafficking, the study recommends that the UAE should consider amending the laws and policies, improving the enforcement policies and justice system providing the highest level of protection for the victims.en_US
