This research work has come up with the title: A Comparison between the Islamics of ‘Abbas Mahmud Al-‘Aqqad and Taha Husayn”. Meanwhile it is a descriptive work aiming at disclosing the Islamic features of the two literary men, their orientations, thoughts and literary imagination. Thus, the researcher adopts the descriptive analytical method while shedding light on the comparison. This was done while gathering pieces of information, analyzing and assessing them and describing their thoughts and orientations; then the researcher follows up his work with the comparison of the latter which is considered to be the body of the work: that is the comparison between the orientations of ‘Al- Aqqad and Taha Husayn. All these are done in order to achieve the result of the study. The researcher concentrates, in his study, on only two main books of each of the two writers, and they are - Al-Insan fil-Quran al-Karim by Abbas Mahmud Al- ‘Aqqad. - Allah, Nashatun fi-l- Aqidat al-Ilahiyyat by ‘Abbas Mahmud Al- ‘Aqqad. - Al-Wa’du al-Haqq byTaha Husayn. - Al-Mu’adhabuna fi-l-Ard by Taha Husayn. The work is made up of an introduction and three chapters. Meanwhile in the introductory part a concept of comparison (Al-Muwazanah) is dealt with including the periods passed through by it.
