The quality of provided dental care and its services can be determined by evaluating patients’ satisfaction. Aim: The objectives of this study were to evaluate patient’s perceived satisfaction towards dental treatment received from undergraduate students of Faculty of Dentistry, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) and to compare the patient’s satisfaction on treatment provision between year 4 and year 5 dental students. Methods: Adapted questionnaire were distributed via Google forms and phone calls to 142 patients. Treatments include preventive treatment, relief of pain and discomfort and operative dental care over a 12-month period from January 2020 to January 2021. The questionnaire consists of 4 domains which are patient-personnel interaction, technical competency, administrative efficiency and clinical setup. Results: A total of 93.5% respondents were satisfied with the treatment received. The domain of clinical setup recorded the highest satisfaction (95.8%). Results showed that there were no differences in patients’ satisfaction between patients that were treated by year 4 and year 5 students (p>0.05). Conclusion: The majority of patients perceived the dental treatment that they received from undergraduate students of Faculty of Dentistry, USIM as satisfactory. The student’s clinical year of study did not appear as a key factor to patients’ satisfaction on dental treatment provided by USIM undergraduatesen_US
