dc.description.abstract	This study pertains to "Ithbat and the Narrations of Malay Scholars and Their Usage in Contemporary Studies," investigating the history of past scholars in Malaysia and their efforts in disseminating Islamic teachings and knowledge. Historically, there have been many prominent scholars, yet the modern generation largely remains unaware of their history, lineage, and contributions. The problem addressed in this research is that the scholarly lineages (sanad) prevalent in this region have not been adequately documented and have received insufficient attention from researchers. Consequently, many scholars who have significantly contributed to knowledge in this region have been forgotten. Some lineages have been lost, and many Malaysians are unaware of their existence, significance, and how to benefit from them. The researcher employed several methods in this study, including inductive, analytical, and critical approaches. The primary findings of this study elucidate the meaning of ithbat and its types, the method by which Islamic knowledge has been inherited throughout history, and the types of knowledge and texts that have been disseminated. Furthermore, it discusses the current state of research on the lineage of Malay scholars in Malaysia through interviews and analysis, highlighting the lives of prominent Malay scholars across various states in Malaysia. The researcher also presents examples of the ithbat of Malay scholars and in Islamic disciplines through the scholars' lineages, outlining how to utilize them in contemporary studies. The researcher concludes with recommendations for future researchers in this field and for upcoming generations.
