Abstract
Gifted students often excel in certain areas rather than across all subjects. Despite their strengths, they may still encounter challenges in fully mastering subjects such as Biology. However, research on the challenges faced by gifted and talented students in learning Biology remains limited. The main objective of this qualitative study is to identify the challenges encountered by gifted students at Kolej PERMATA Insan in learning Biology. Data were generated from semi-structured interviews and analyzed through thematic analysis. The findings revealed that gifted students
often faced challenges in understanding abstract concepts and handling the large amount of content in Biology. Teachers should adopt a variety of methods and approaches that not only support but also enhance students’ ability to understand complex biological concepts, thereby improving both comprehension and retention
