Abstract
This study aims to determine the suitability of smart devices and tablets in the study of Arabic among talented Muslim students in PERMATA Insan College at the Islamic Science University of Malaysia. The data was collected through interviews with six students who have high general academic achievement and low achievement in the Arabic language. The researcher analysed the responses of students by identifying commonalities and differences among students, then coding these responses and identifying their main themes. Results show that there are differences among students perspectives about the use of mobile learning to learn Arabic along three main themes. The first one is the belief that mobile learning is an excellent strategy and the best way to learn Arabic language; the second theme is that mobile learning is good but needs to practice face to face with teachers; and the third is that mobile learning is not suitable for learning languages. We should learn languages through daily face to face practice. 2017 American Scientific Publishers All rights reserved.
